Schroder Hasn’t Been Cleared; Gravett Enters Protocols by Dana Gauruder
A clerical error gave Celtics fans false hope that Dennis Schroder would return to action on Wednesday. It was reported earlier that Schroder had cleared the league’s health and safety protocols but in fact he’s still under those restrictions, according to Tim Bontemps of ESPN (Twitter links). He’s one of six Boston players currently under protocols.

I wonder who/what Marcus punched? What he's punching is his ticket out of town ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) At this point, as a huge Smarticus fan, I would welcome his leaving such a F-N screwed up franchise on a fast track to nowhere.
Smart lacerated his hand Christmas Day against the Bucks.
Sez IUD this past Monday: "He’s out, he’s officially out now,” Udoka told reporters prior to Monday’s game. “He got a bad cut on his hand last game against Milwaukee and played through it but it’s in a nasty spot, it’s a nasty cut. Not a lot of gripping he’s able to do and shooting just didn’t feel right, even catching the balls, so he’s out tonight.”
Although Smart’s hand injury would be enough to keep him out of the Celtics’ tilt with the Timberwolves, Udoka made it sound like it wouldn’t keep the Boston point guard out of the lineup for very long.
“He tried to give it a go tonight and see how he felt but it’s just in a nasty spot honestly and so I wouldn’t anticipate it being long term,” Udoka said. “Just heal up some and probably find some padding or bandaging to take away some of the pain.

Maybe it'll help his shooting!

I wonder who/what Marcus punched? I believe he cut it on the rim during the Bucks game ... nothing as sinister as prior events.

Maybe it'll help his shooting! Danny shot well in a Bucks series with his fingers taped. Minus Larry, it wasn't enough. Bob Lanier torched the chief

Per Hardwood Houdini:
Boston Celtics fans could really use a feel-good win after losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves as nine-point favorites this past Monday.
It’s indicative of the times we’re in that a win over an injury-depleted Los Angeles Clippers would qualify as such, but here we are. #9 seeds in the Eastern Conference postseason picture view any win as a feel-good win at this point.
And hey, the Clippers aren’t in all that different of a scenario themselves. Paul George was recently lost to an elbow tear that could have him sidelined for a good chunk of what’s left in the 2021-22 season. Kawhi Leonard’s return is not at the stage of even having a timeline. At 17-17, a slide further down the standings seems imminent if the Clippers can’t win games like this one.
Boston will be missing their best player, Jayson Tatum, and could be without their two starter-level point guards, Dennis Schroder and Marcus Smart, against LAC. This will be a classic December 2021 COVID-19 ravaged matchup.

Boston, Brandon, the Boston killer has been ruled out for Health and Safety. Whew.
So how in the world can we lose tonight? As confident as I am in not fathoming a way we can lose, I would not be surprised if we did.
Tonight should be a good ole Celtics beatdown of the Clips.

Yes but if we're good at anything it's finding unique ways to lose ... if anyone can do it, this C's team can and will lose. It may be the usual 3rd qtr let down, slow out of the gate 1st qtr or failure to execute under pressure in the 4th. Maybe they'll find a way in Q2 tonight ...
