I feel redundant with my arguments and i apologize for that. We dont have a player that makes others better and we cant expect that from tatum either. So. Why are we keeping him? The end goal is to win it all. Ww can go as far as we have gone without him. Thats a huge problem when you put it that way

You're right to be frustrated with him, but that's because you know the game better than him. He is only 23. I don't feel he is at his peak. One of my favorite Celtics wasn't at his peak at age 27(Paul Pierce 2005). So I am not ready to give up on Tatum. I also don't think you are going to find much agreement on this board either. You will find agreement on the disappointment, however. But in reality, we raised or expectations off of flashes of greatness. He will still flash greatness until he masters this game. He hasn't yet.

He knows his game.
That's all he needs to know.
He is Laker bound and will fit in perfectly out there.

I believe a good shooter or two would help Tatum's game. Every teams defense is designed to stop him, he's double and triple teamed at times, because teams know the other guys can't beat them! He's trying too hard and pressing, because he knows he needs to have a big game or we'll lose! Fournier would have helped, but we still would need more shooters! Tatum could average 6 to 8 assists easy, if guys could make an open shot.

If you didn't hear what Max said post game this is it in a nutshell: Brown is the better of the two ... I keep Brown and deal Tatum because Brown is more athletic and a two-way player. Tatum has more tricks in his bag but he's not as complete a player as Jaylen.

Tatum for Lilliard is a rip off. Lilliard has not accomplished as much as Tatum has and he's older! Besides scoring wings beat scoring guards in general in my opinion. Unless that scoring guard is Dwayne Wade or Steph Curry. Stay the course and find a better offensive philosophy, better defensive philosophy, better coaching and better complimentary players.

I still put most of the blame on Ainge! If he had only moved up a couple spots in the draft and drafted Tyler Herro, who's averaging over 21 points a game this year, our team would look a lot different! And we had the picks to do it, make no mistake about it!
That was the problem with Ainge. He seldom moved up or paid a premium to get the player wanted/needed to complete the build. He was content in letting draft players fall to him or not and refused to overpay in $, players and/or picks for an upgrade.

I don't know if he refused or people were afraid of doing business with him after the Nets landslide.

I admittedly have trouble criticizing Danny Ainge because I'm greatful for the championship 🏆 and the current team built off of the Nets trade and for Isaiah Thomas trade and Tatum trade.
But he was not perfect.
We got IT for Marcus Thornton and the Cavs Pick #28.
What a rip off. This guy played like an MVP for us.

Tatum has not accomplished much more himself...but again, what is the point of keeping tatum when he does not match? DA will go to Portland, he will want Tatum and BS would be thrilled to have Lillard. Win win for both teams

Lillard is shooting worse than Tatum so far this year! Under 40%! Lillard at this point, would be no better than Kemba was his first season with the Celtics! There's very few I'd trade Tatum for, Luka, Gainnis, that's about it!

Since I am not local, I never hear the pre or post games stuff except on U-tube. Most here know what i think about Tatum (Melo) and that I would try to sell high. That being said the owners would need some very large/hairy ones to OK any Tatum deal, IMO. The fan backlash would likely be extreme. I always come up with Lillard because he is one of the few top level NBA players who has been rumored to perhaps be available. Yes IF Ainge heads to Portland soon a Tatum (or Brown) deal could move higher as a possibility. for anyone interested here is a link to a "tear it all down "option I posted yesterday as part sarcasm and part what could be likely. Not for the faint of heart, however. www.celticsblog.com/2021/11/27/22804675/for-those-who-may-be-in-the-tear-it-all-down-mindset-at-this-moment
