Schroder or Smart, who you keeping? End of year you can give Schroder his $20 mil per contract and he slides nicely into Smarts salary cap slot. For me though Schroder is not enough of a playmaker. I would trade both him and Smart for a legit PG if I could. I would also make a phone call to white chocolate and see if he has any sons playing ball in his mold!

Going to have to be a multi team deal Schroder isn't a good floor general too streaky and Smart is an expensive 6th man not a starter.. We made no progress from last year despite our so called great TPEs.. All is quite from Timmy soon he'll be lead away like the other false savior. Wyc should have cleaned the house and why is Austin Ainge still employed in any capacity ?

The salary cap doesn't work like that, sorry. the Celtics are over the cap by about $30M next season. IF you want to pay Schroder $20M you need to drop $50M in salary. Not sure why you'd want to over pay Schroder that much, but oh well. Its been gone over here I think, but the condensed version is the Celtics can only offer Schroder around $7M next season. you can try to trade all the players you want, but you have to get rid of of $30M plus whatever you pay Schroder to play him more than that. he's a one year rental , just get used to it. Better to try to trade him for an asset later this year to be honest.
