Tacko Fall signs non-guaranteed deal with Cavaliers

A former Celtics fan favorite won’t be back in Boston this season as expected. Big man Tacko Fall is moving on to play with the Cleveland Cavaliers next season, signing a one-year, non-guaranteed deal, according to The Athletic.
Fall spent the past two seasons with the Celtics on two-way contracts. Teams can’t sign players to more than two two-way contracts, meaning Fall’s time in Boston was likely to be finished. Fall signed with the C’s after going undrafted in 2019. While he showed signs of growth over his two seasons, there were still some limitations in game.
Fans — home and away — were often adamant to see him play during blowout games, raining down “we want Tacko” chants when they were able to attend games. He’s bound to get love from the fans when the Cavs visit TD Garden next season.
Fall averaged 2.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in his 19 games played last season. With no G-League season because of the pandemic, Fall spent the season with the Celtics. Injuries and COVID-19 issues forced Fall into some games, with the clear highlight being when he put up four points, eight rebounds and three blocks against the Wizards in January when he was pressed into action.
The 7-foot-5 big man will look to stick in the league with the Cavs with training camp soon approaching. The 25-year-old has shown flashes of improvement and has another opportunity with another NBA franchise.

I loved Tacko and am sorry he is gone. Would love to see him get some time and average a double/double for Cleveland! Then come into Boston and put up a triple double (points, rebounds, blocks)! Good luck Tacko!
