Smart takes the inbounds and is fouled by Covington ... 3.5 ticks ... smarts makes 0-2 to use up the clock and trap the ballhandler with no TOs left for POR ... 116-115 C's CELTICS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Tatum stays a Celtic, he'll own every scoring record! Kemba's trending upward, 21 points and a lot of great passes! RWill and TT are good enough in the middle! When Fournier gets back we could be hard to beat!

As opposed to that one play a week or two ago where he didn't realize if you throw the ball it means you had possession

Stevens bringing this team together! I loved Theis as well as most of you, but I've always said he was outmatched physically. I think the duo of RW and TT has been more effective. And it shows you that centers need to do some center things like take up space and control the area under the rim. Also we've got marcus smart back. He took a while to get into shape or maybe just catch a rhythm. He's been good on the court and inspirational too. I'd like to give him the most credit Sure I'll give a hat tip to stevens for the rally and danny for the decision on theis. Not that we're better without theis, but that he was expendable and it is good for the franchise that they stayed under the cap. Heck, a win in GS seems very do-able. After that we may even see fierce back with an I told you so.

He had lots of rebound opportunities in that stretch because we missed a lot of shots till Jay hit that line drive three with someone over his shoulder whispering in his ear

Effort goes a long way when you have talent, and that starts with Tatum. Finally isnt sleepwalking through games. I didnt give Stevens blame and im not going to give him credit

The players are playing harder. The players are playing better. So once again, he's a good coach. Funny how that works!!

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum said Tuesday night that he is still dealing with the after-effects of contracting for COVID-19 three months ago and has been using an inhaler before games as a means to combat them. “Close,” he said, after scoring 32 points, along with nine rebounds and five assists, in a 116-115 Boston victory in Portland, when asked whether he’s back to 100 percent. “Very close. – via Tim Bontemps @ ESPN Top Rumors, Health, Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

“It’s a process. It takes a long time. I take an inhaler before the game since I’ve tested positive. This has kind of helped with that and opened up my lungs, and, you know, I never took an inhaler before. So that’s something different. “I for sure feel better now than I did a month ago.” He added that he isn’t sure how long he’s going to have to use the inhaler, saying it will be until he feels good enough to play without it. “There’s no exact timetable,” Tatum said. “[It’s] just when I feel comfortable enough and I think I don’t need it.” – via Tim Bontemps @ ESPN Top Rumors, Health, Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics
NOT a coincidence!!
