What makes JT similar to Larry Legend is Tatum makes tough shots under pressure.

The bench stepped up in this game.
Maker, Romeo, and GWill all made contributions when the Celts needed it most in the 2nd qtr.

I forgot to mention Kanter was the biggest contributor off the bench.

Celts just need Hayward to come back in a few weeks.
I think Celts will be fine.
Kemba's producing in the playoffs.
And to think the Sixers gave Toby 180m and Horford 109m.

It's the playoffs and GWill and Romeo are in the rotation.
Looks like Ainge did a good job drafting last year.

Before the season started, I kept saying Philly would be bad because they traded scoring and shooting in Jimmy Butler and Redick for Josh Richardson and Al Horford.
The Sixers just became a team too big for its own good.
You have Ben Simmons, a non-shooter as the PG, Embiid as the Center, and you add Horford?
There's just not enough shooting.

Horford can shoot. I see not enough shot creation.

Horford can shoot. I see not enough shot creation. Yes, he can, but as a Center. What the Sixers need is a shooter like Redick. They were tougher to beat when they had Redick. For sure they need a guy that can get around screens to get a shot off. A designated gun. However I don't think Redick is the guy that he was when he was with Philadelphia anyway. He spots up more and doesn't move as much. And again I would assert that Horford can get his shot off better when guarded by a bigger guy, but that doesn't make you shoot better it just means he gets better shots

Also, having Horford and Embiid on the court at the same time makes the Sixers a slow team.
It's just not a good mix.
The intention of the Sixers was to weaken the Celts, when they signed Horford.
Clearly it backfired.

Horford and Harris are straight garbage for Philly. Richardson is decent and Milton really is a 2nd unit player, surely not a starting PG in the NBA.
Their GM needs to be fired. I just hope another team doesn't let them off the hook by taking on Horford or Harris's contract.
They'd be so much better with Butler and Redick than they are with Horford and Harris.

Clearly it backfired. The thing is everybody in the world this was going to happen except the Sixers. You can go back and read what I wrote at the time and most agreed with me at that time on this board I think. I don't know anybody that wanted to give the guy a multi-year Max contract

I don't know anybody that wanted to give the guy a multi-year Max contract I think what the Sixers were thinking is by removing Horford from the Cs, the Cs become a non-factor in the east. Horford was the only big man the Celts had. That's why I believe it was more about weakening the Cs than improving their team. Like what you said, everybody in the world knew this was going to happen. So why did the Sixers do it? Only reason I can think of is weakening a division rival.

Wonder why he didn't (who defended him - Tatum?) ... he only had 4pts (2-3/0-0/0-0) 2rbds and 1Blk in 23 minutes!

The Sixers didn't have to give him as much $ or years to steal him ... C's could hardly pay him $9MM and weren't going beyond 1 yr with an option.

I can dee letting Redick go but didn't they also trade that rookie sharpshooter to the Clippers ... Shamet?
Here it is ... compliments of Wikipedia:
Philadelphia 76ers (2018–2019)
Shamet was taken with the 26th pick in the 2018 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.[11] In the 2018 preseason, Shamet averaged 8.8 points per game, with an 18-point performance in a 120–114 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in China.[12]
Shamet scored a career-high 29 points off the bench on January 8, 2019, in a home victory over the Washington Wizards, including a Sixers rookie record 8 three-pointers.[13] Los Angeles Clippers (2019–present)
On February 6, 2019, Shamet was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.[14] In his first game with them, he scored 17 points, 13 of which were in the 4th quarter, in a comeback from 28 down against the Boston Celtics. On April 15, in Game 2 of the first round against the Golden State Warriors, he scored 12 points and the game winning 3-pointer in a 31-point comeback leading to a 135–131 Clippers victory.[15]
On July 4, 2020 he tested positive for COVID-19.[16]
So since trading Shamet, all they are left with is Korkmaz and he's capable but hasn't gotten enough minutes and little or no experience in playoffs.
