I see the comparisons, both played with energy/spark plug, both were good shooters. But there are some differences too. I expect Carsen to be better than Eddie.

Here are some Tacko highlites against Duke and Zion Williamson. Top notch competition. Can you imagine having this cming off the C's bench after a year or 2 of seasoning?!

Kind of reminds me of that commercial where they have a walrus ice hockey goalie

Dont know if its being posted. But ouch. This sounds like it was targeted. This was Ainge:
“I think it just makes life more enjoyable when everybody is humble, hard-working, and will play any role they have to to help the team succeed. You do have to have a certain amount of talent to win, as we all know, but good people makes coming to work more fun.”

Worst for Ainge? Yabu gets an honorable mention.
We drafted a foreign power forward. Another power forward was available and went about 10 picks later. That player was Pascal Siakam. The Yabu pick was out of nowhere and surprised many, as most expected Yabu to go in the second round.

It wasnt a situation where Danny left everyone scratching their heads only to wind up with egg on his face. I'd say its between those two and Fab Melo.

Siakam was on my short list!
Speaking of Yabu ... does he deserve to use up cap space any more?
Shouldn't we trade him for a future draft pick or use him in a trade if we do Adams?
For a 1st round lottery pick he s/b showing some signs by now ... I've grown impatient after initially being optimistic.

I hated the pick initially, warmed to it, and am now (like you) ready to move on. He's uncoordinated, cant put the ball on the floor, cant shake defenders, not a great rebounder, plays at the perimeter, and doesnt shoot particularly well. Whats the point?

Looking back at it, its hard to fathom why Siakam slipped so far, with the Celtics looking bad passing on him twice (once for Yabu, then again for Zizic). The dude was nasty in college, with 2+ blocks a game, 11+ boards a game, and scoring 20+, despite being the focal point of opposing defenses. I guess it was because they considered him undersized for a PF and he's not a stretch 4. Also, I imagine that teams dinged him for the conference he played in. Still, looking quite foolish now for passing on him twice for two guys who are looking like longshots to stick in the league.

Danny was stuck with drafting players that would agree to get stashed overseas. They were going after two max free agents. Got Horford but whiffed on KD.
