Late in the second quarter it's obvious the Celtics still have the sickness. This team looks like they want to disband.

One thing I noticed is when Kyrie goes to the rim nobody takes his place to stop the break. That's why you really don't want your pg to be at the rim all the time.

IT's not like it looks at all like we want to roll with terry though. He's really been looking bad in shooting.

Well things have devolved to the point where we can't even beat washington at home. How can Brad's job not be under some consideration?

Nice stretch from tatum. Even boxing out and letting the ball go out under the basket.
Again Kyrie goes out and the team awakens.

I don't get why Kyrie is being asked to keep the ball in his hands for extended periods? Move the ball and have Kyrie work to being an off ball scorer.

We fought against ourselves like always. Luckily the Wiz weren't ready to win. I am blaming this on you...everything was good until you became the moderator...dang, maybe it was me and my green boxers wearing out...all I know is that this is pretty much a debacle of somewhat epic proportions...I therefore blame Kyrie...not nearly as bitchin as he thinks he is, phenomenal talent and he sure fooled me, but worthless since this is not tennis...and Danny for not trading him for a bag of balls before the trade deadline...what did we give up for him, IT?...geez...

I just don't get what is going on. Everybody is trying to get going and playing weird.
Check out the box score and you see a more even shot distribution. However, Morris was the highest shot taker at 17!!!?? Tatum went 4-13 but looks like it made him more active defensively. Then there is Hayward. 24 mins with 2 shot attempts!!!?? Looks like he has given up trying to score in favor of creating more shot attempts for others. Kyrie took 15 shots and had 12 assists. Why are we not being able to generate action where players can penetrate to the hoop? We shot only 29% on 3.
Improving on what Cole said, we did our part to give it up. But the Wiz did not want to take it.

Why are we not being able to generate action where players can penetrate to the hoop? We shot only 29% on 3.Improving on what Cole said, we did our part to give it up. But the Wiz did not want to take it. That's the problem ... with Brad. If we aren't shooting well, don't you adjust game plan from spacing & shooting threes to mid-range and in the paint to create easy opportunities or FT's?
Brad refuses to change it up ... we regularly see players shooting threes when down a few points with minutes left in a game. The rule of thumb has always been to take it to the rim for the score of foul.
Why have we been losing ... our 3pt shooting has continued to deteriorate as the season progresses:
Boston has gone cold from 3
They’ve dropped to sixth in the NBA in 3-point percentage (37.1 percent). Their 6-for-20 night was their second-worst night of the season from deep (Utah on Nov. 17, 5-13, 15.2 percent). They’ve hit 30 of 99 3’s since the break, which is just over 30 percent.
One could argue that this game takes a decidedly different tone should a couple of those 3’s fallen in the second quarter. Gordon Hayward missed two and Brown missed one in that 13-0 run prior to the timeout.
The Celtics are a 3-point heavy offense. They won’t survive cold shooting nights.
The Celtics have lineup issues, and the focus now turns to how head coach Brad Stevens will fix them.
No point in the season has felt as low as Tuesday night felt, but the morning after falling to a 10-10 record early in the year comes close. The struggles the Celtics fought at that point of the season revolved much around the early woes of Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward. In their place, Stevens injected Marcus Morris and Marcus Smart — two players who, at the start of the year, were poster children for the “Bench With Attitude” — into the starting lineup.
It worked really well for awhile. From Thanksgiving to Jan. 1, Morris was shooting 43.5 percent from deep, and Smart was playing the best basketball of his career. Through January, Smart was firing from the 3-point line at a 42.9 percent clip. But in the month of February, water found its level.
In February, Morris is converting on just 30.6 percent of his deep attempts, while attempting 5.4 per night. The numbers are similar to Russell Westbrook‘s historically awful 27 percent 3-point clip while attempting 5.0 such shots per night. In other words, Mook is chucking.
Likewise, Smart has seen his 3-point shooting regress to the mean, as he’s converting on only 32.7 percent of his attempts while taking 5.2 such shots per game. Morris and Smart found ethereal hot streaks where they played miles above their heads. Those will happen from time to time, but not often enough for their starting roles to continue.
Brad Stevens remarked on the difficulty of starting Smart being that you can’t bring his energy off the bench. That’s an issue that has finally reared its ugly head, as the second unit has taken the floor with a certain lethargy and lack of discipline that only Smart and his combat muscles and grit can provide.
Look no further than Tuesday night in Toronto. The Celtics possessed a 34-30 lead early in the second quarter when Terry Rozier and the second unit took the floor. In the bat of an eyelash, the Raptors had gone on an 18-0 run and taken a 48-34 lead.
While it’s not fair to single out Rozier as much as he’s been blamed, it’s really no wonder why it’s happening. The Celtics have been outscored by 41 points in their last two second quarters, in large part because of punishing shot selection from the former Louisville Cardinal.

Green Envy: What Wizards fans said - 3/1/19By Mark AllisonAT LONG LAST! It's been over two weeks since we've had a Green Envy, and FINALLY, the Boston Celtics and the basketball gods have blessed us with some hate, pain, and irrational takes from our opponents' fans. Wizards fans are usually some of the best in the league but they didn't quite have their fastball tonight. Still, there's plently of gems in here tonight!Top Three:where were you when marcus morris shot 10 3s in a game before the fourth quarter? I was nervous for a minute that they might actually try to make the playoffs... whew glad that passed If Trevor Ariza retires and opens a candy and pizza restaurant in northern Italy, he can call it Trevor Ariza's Reese's Pieces & Cheese Pizzas of Pisa Full Slate:
Victory is very improbable, but it would be so SWEET! It's amazing that three years into the Scotty Brooks era and we're still baffled by bigs that can step out and hurt us from the perimeter Leave it to the Wizards to be slump busters Horford always goes ape shit on us Brad going to play 48 minutes. Brooks has this team thinking they can’t do anything without Brad on the floor. | They actually can't A FIELD GOAL Jabari is secretly clever. He knows we won’t do shit in the playoffs so he’s helping the tank Wow Marcus Smart is more than living up to his $ For tonight screw a tank, they gotta take this one. Just imagine if we had a good head coach celtics 30 beal and friends 20 to end the first I know that we need to give Beal fewer minutes but we have no offense without him Jabari was never ever meant to throw a no-look pass I hope Boston collapses so we can get more cryptic Kyrie quotes and Smart bitching to the media. Half the time I love Ariza and half the time he pisses me off more than I knew an NBA player could Why does Bobby Portis have such crazy eyes? we're doing something right now, not sure if it's playing basketball though just put in Thomas Bryant he's the only player who can actually score apparently This game ugly. RIP the rivalry from a couple of seasons ago. Better times\ wait...TROY BROWN JR? ?? DID SCOTT BROOKS DIE? I can't believe we're actually seeing TBJ get non-garbage time minutes this year. In multiple quarters in the same game no less! That one Boston announcer speaks like he nodded off and is trying to play it off to everyone like he wasn't sleeping...BLARCUS UHH MORRIS with the STEAL uhhh you would think someone would eventually box out Rozier on that with Wall out, the position of Wizards best rim protector is now awarded to: Bradley Beal Is it just me or do the Celtics look bored af out there Celtics don't seem to give a shit anymore, lol. They keep getting turnovers on that idiotic entry pass to the post Ariza's gonna end this game with 30 turnovers Kudos to Baynes for getting rid of that stupidass haircut he's had the past couple years Beal needs to try being Harden for a game or two, and see how it goes now i wanna know how hungover beal was for that workout last week where hayward cooked him Heyward putting up more effort on his haircut and beard than basketball. Dude's just out for ad dollars at this point Hayward playing hot potato with the rock. Whenever he gets it, he dishes it away. He's so afraid to play. Ive been consistently watch the Wiz for 3 years never have i seen us shit the bed in 25 seconds of play as much as just then, my god that was atrocious. damn i know we've been trash but f**k these refs in the 4th. remember how much contact these refs allowed in the first quarter? Good game, y'all. Excuse me while I go refresh Tankathon non-stop for the next three months

Naturally I'm happy we stopped the 4 game losing streak but we needed shoot 45% to their 40% because, as usual, we got out rebounded, 53 to 46 but their +7 was wiped out with their 7 turnovers just in the last Qtr. Beating a dead horse I'd like us to be at least +5 and up to + 10 in rebs and it helps when we don't shoot so well.

Trying on a comeback myself didn't watch the game and i can't afford any more negative energy i live in DC. Hats off to Smart. Doc's been gone for two games now. What's the deal? Contract extension or is he on the injured list from extensive brain trama from watching the games this year. I hope Doc is ready for the playoff run. I am Piece of cake this is all fake play by Stevens and the team to lull other teams into a placid mode against us. No doubt the big turds havn't came out yet. Sweep the east Make Boston Great Again.
