Calamari moving to AR. Big shakeup.. As someone that's not a Kentucky fan, that's bad news! Cal couldn't coach, they may get someone who can. I pray it's not Dan Hurley! He wouldn't leave UCONN would he??

I do believe Cal can coach. very well he is also a great recruiter, which is most likely where UK has faltered. they play mostly freshman, and get beat in the tournament by more experienced, bigger, stronger teams. UK needed to mix in some transfer portal players in addition to the frosh. Cal never embraced that.

Missed the game yesterday. We gave up TWENTY-TWO offensive rebounds to POR.
Outrebounded 53 - 30.
Did not catch the game but that doesn't look good.

Thankfully the supposed 'March Madness' is over tonight...what an annoying bunch of media crap...my least favorite time of year sportswise!...Caitlin Clark was a breath of fresh air...but the men's 'tournament' is a joke...guy's in the league for a year or two, all stacking up on the same team...praise jah it is over tonight...and thankfully baseball is playing games...

Whoohoo, what a great NCAA men's title game!...garbage, 15 point margin...did not watch a lick...
Maybe more spineless pricks will want to play for UConn...cuz they can't raise up another team...just cancel the season and give the 'trophy' to the scouts/recruiting...best 'offseason' wins...whoohoo!...

Great news and somewhat expected since we didn't find a vet worth signing.
Thing is, Queta is a critical part of the playoff success the Maine C's have had so far and the Finals start tonight in Maine for a three game series. Will Boston let Queta help Maine win the title by allowing him to play in Portland tonight or will he be shuttled out to Milwaukee to fill in for Porzingis & Horford?
Kornet, Tillman and Brissett should be able to anchor the 5 hole in a meaningless game to Boston even though the Bucks need a win desperately to hold onto the 2nd seed.
The G-League is just a 3 game series so they will be done by the end of this week or early next - Brad can let Queta finish business up north before the playoffs start in the NBA.

But even when Banton struggled, he still had respect within the organization. It was apparent after the game in Boston, as the Celtics’ training staff eagerly waited to catch up with him in the hallway. “I had a great time here. I learned a lot,” Banton said. “Got to build a lot of relationships with guys who developed me here.” Though he was in Boston briefly, he made a point to ensure he didn’t let his frustration on the court show up off it. “We’re in a place of work and no one wants to be in there with the bummed guy,” Banton said. “He got to come in regardless, playing or not, you got to be able to put a smile on your face. Got to be able to come in to work, put the work in and, trust the work that you put in. That goes along back that we’ve been playing basketball for our whole lives, so we have fun doing it too. So coming into work is not a big hassle for us.” – via The Athletic Dalano Banton, Boston Celtics, Portland Trail Blazers
Sunday was Banton’s eighth 20-point game since joining the Blazers, all of which have come in the past month. Before that, he had only done it once in his career. He is maximizing what could have been his last chance. “I feel like there’s a lot of guys in the league who don’t have that opportunity that may be able to show what they can do if they get the opportunity,” Banton said after his former team beat his new one 124-107. “But, I feel like just trying to stay ready, trusting in the work. Every day, you have to wake up and be a professional.” – via The Athletic Dalano Banton, Portland Trail Blazers

I want to say that I feel I had always seen the potential in Banton when he was here. however, putting up 20 for a losing team while playing with some lower end players is not where is value needed to be here. he needs to come to the table with much better defense, and the ability to make players around him better. scoring from him should be secondary. he looked like he could always score meaningless points while he was here. most anyone in the league can do that.
