If we continue to get in their space defensively, they won't have a chance to come back.
We're coming close to that time in the 4th quarter when we either start playing stupid or close out the game.

We're getting down toward garbage time of the season now.
Other that a few big games, we can about go to a no starter over 20min rule Some teams will be tanking. Others will be resting. The west is gonna knock itself around and whomever comes out to face us will be much more beat up I'm thinking. Good times!

You must be watching TRU TV rather than TNT. Tru has betting guys talking odds and fav bets off the game. Talking as the game was played. I closed that out fast and surfed over to TNT sans the betting prospects.

Off topic, but anyone questioning the "cheapness" of the Celtics owners need to look at Yawkey Way and Patriot Place. Keenan Allen was just acquired by Da Bears for a FOURTH round pick. Not much of a football guy, but wouldn't it make sense now to trade for Justin Fields and take Harrison Jr at #3?
As for John Henry? He can take the "Fenway experience" and stick it where the sun don't shine. Same owners - same mindset - Sox need pitching, but don't sign for or trade for any pitchers. Patriots need WR's, but several have been signed or traded for in the last couple of days.
It's been Kraft all along.........not Bill. Kraft is a tightwad!!

The Yankees have a 290 mil payroll almost double ours. Now if they don't win a championship heads will fly off. They also are tied up for years with a poor farm system. We can't compete with them this year in all honestly. There is a long game and the Sox are playing that. I see this as a year of developing young players for the Sox . I'm kinda siding with the Henry Group near 300 mil is too much to overcome. Henry has brought us 4 championships WYC one in the same timeframe. Four beats one right?

We have a nice group of young players, and we need to see how they do. My question would be pitching. Aside from Bello, who is a young pitcher we have? Crawford? It's very disheartening to watch our pitchers get hammered all the time. Why not get Montgomery? If Bello is our ace, we are doomed to another last place finish. And we sign a guy who can't pitch this year, and maybe next. I'm all for the development, and missing the playoffs, but to tell us you're going to spend, and not get any pitching at all (and I hear they want to trade Kenley) is kind of insulting. We are not stupid fans. At least give the impression you're going to compete. This is Boston, not Tampa!!

So the Vikes just acquired another first round pick. Would you trade #3 to the Vikes for #11 and #23?? We could still trade for Fields, or just draft Nix or McCarthy.............
Again, not a football guy, but tightwad Kraft isn't "burning cash", so why not get all the picks we can?

I'm kinda siding with the Henry Group near 300 mil is too much to overcome. Henry has brought us 4 championships WYC one in the same timeframe. Four beats one right? Some counter points Id make 1. Other teams with higher payrolls might implode so we are okay to not even try = feels like too low of a bar to me. But for entertainment purposes, would be fun watching Yanks spend all this money and fall on their face. So I agree thats a silver lining and maybe a reason to follow MLB this year, but dont think it excuses Sox actions 2. Sox, from what Ive seen, havent really been playing the long game. Theyve been playing a hybrid game where they seem directionless. They missed opportunities to sell for prospects in recent years and theyve missed opportunities to load up on guys with an eye for flipping them. Look at Sale, who was a bad contract. But they still managed to salvage value from him by eating some $$. This is more of what Id like to see. Sign mid-tier free agents, eat a few bucks to increase their trade value, flip em 3. Playing kids is not always the best formula for the long game. You start their FA clock earlier, essentially losing years of control down the line. Im also not convinced that forcing guys into MLB is developing. I think you can do a better job developing them working with them in AA and correcting their mechanics w less pressure vs throwing them into MLB due to not wanting to sign guys. Bad habits can develop this way. 4. Surprised the Patriots havent done more with all their cap room. And I see the resemblance to the Sox. 2 last place teams with budget room not using it. 5. Off topic, but anyone questioning the "cheapness" of the Celtics owners - quote by Hed. From what Ive seen , its really just one guy (KDP) who has been pounding the table that Celtics are cheap, and Ive never really agreed with it. Like KDP as a poster, but this is one notion that I cant get behind. Above points submitted by me respectively to all mentioned or responded to (Hed, Dee, KDP)
