“I’m not trying to make it about myself, he said. “We talk about respecting each other’s space and understanding the flow of the game. It’s not upon me to hijack the game and make it about me and it’s a national TV game. Other guys had it going. So if I have to be in the corner, if I have to be a facilitator at times, so be it.” Excuse Excuse Excuse View AttachmentIm fine with this. But if you are deferring, that means that you are being more selective with your shots. Which means the overall quality should go up, and thus so should the efficiency. If you take 30 shots one game, and 10 games the next - I would assume the average quality of the shot should be better when you only took 10, and thus your fg% should rise. Ah yeah being selective is a plus for Tatum and Brown. Pete was right also. Their bench outplayed ours was probably the driving force for our loss

You want to know why? Tatum is being promoted to be the new Larry Bird the face of the league. Trying hard to average 6 assists a game. At least one thing is being overlooked Larry Bird average over 2 offensive boards in his career 2.5 his ist 7 years before his back caused problems Tatum is at .08 you can't get offensive boards standing around the 30 ft line. Brown misses a lot of FTs at times but he's averaging more offensive boards than Tatum and less turnovers. Tatum is supposed to be our PF and he's dead last in offensive boards for any starting PF in the league.Tatum is a SF both on offense and defense he doesn't like to mix it up in the paint when the going gets rough. Genuinely curious, does this assume every team has a PF? So the second largest guy on every starting 5? Tatum is dead last in o-rebounds? Legit questions not trying to disagree in the form of a q I looked thu 5 charts from different websites. This one might be the best some list Tatum as a SF . Good question. www.teamrankings.com/nba/player-stat/rebounds-offensive

Regardless of the# 0.8 isn't up to snuff for a PF that plays 38 minutes a game. Tatum made my point for me. It's my place to stand in the corner he said.

JB was like a man demon possessed last night.... wild eyed.... relentless.... determined.... taking it right down Peachtree Street to the basket.
He obviously took the Cavs loss very personally.
He was so revved up he couldn't relax and hit his FTs.

I elevated on my FTs when i played.. Why? Dave Bing did. He said i'm practicing my jumpshot while taking a FT and practicing my FTs when i take a jumper. Made perfect sense maybe Brown needs to watch a few Dave Bing videos.

Tatum's dad was a "dick"! I never knew this. I see why Deuce is with him all the time. It's a shame he feels his father's behavior is justified because he might not be where he is today. WRONG! Tatum is where he is today DESPITE his father's behavior growing up.

What bothers me the most about Tatum is that he has the tools yet he refuses to get better as a player. His moves have been the same since he entered the league. And chances are, we might never see another dimension to his game. He will keep jacking up step side threes and step back threes. We will see the same guy going against 5 thinking he can do it all and we will see a guy that slowly brings the ball down on crucial situations. Oh and lets not forget his bricks, they are here to stay.

On the other side of the spectrum, we have JB. JB really works on his game during the offseason, one can tell. But, JB has one speed and one speed only. He is a quick shooter, quick decision maker and sometimes that plays against him. If on certain occasions, JB took his time for plays, he would be more consistent and more effective.
We look at Jokic, probably one of the slowest guys in the league, but he takes his time to execute and he kills the league that way.

This is exactly what I was thinking. We've got this world champion pg who now hangs in the corner. White isn't that nifty just solid and more of a combo. Buts let's like let holiday set up a play You want to know why? Tatum is being promoted to be the new Larry Bird the face of the league. Trying hard to average 6 assists a game. he Celtics lost the season series against the defending champions Denver Nuggets on Thursday night in a hard fought 115-109 loss. The Celtics have a long road to navigate to even get to the NBA Finals for a possible rematch against the Nuggets or a host of other top tier Western Conference contenders in June. However, Charles Barkley made clear just how sky high his expectations are for the franchise on TNT’s Inside the NBA on Thursday night. “If they don’t win a championship this year, it would be a total gag job because they have everything,” Barkley said. – via Booth Newspapers Top Rumors, Charles Barkley, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets
“You only play five players,” Barkley said. “They got Tatum, Brown, Jrue Holiday. Your rotation is going to shrink during the playoffs so the bench isn’t as important as you think it is. You got Brown and Tatum two of the best ten players in the league, probably. You got a great leader in Jrue Holiday. You have the best 6th man.” – via Booth Newspapers Charles Barkley, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday, Boston Celtics

KDP says Brown is gone if we don't win a title. I think that's the move the Celtics make. We would get a goldmine for JT but he's not going anywhere. The smart ones like Pud and Pete and Cabby don't need convincing. Now your just a bright maybe brighter than us about bball and personalities. I don't need to twist your arm. We'll never convince Drew it's generational i'm convinced and i'm ok with that. More concerned about Mazz than Tatum. Tatum is just one of five on the court Mazz is one of one . oh and my Dad was a brawler especially when he was drinking Biggest and best in the county everyone said . He called me a punk boy when i was 18 and he was right He didn't call me a punk boy when i was 21
