Porgie a low postup bunny out of the time out! OR by KP off JT missed 3 C's TOV (Jrue failed to cross in 8 ticks) Nesmith a layup C's growing tits as Pacers rally in final minute ... 127-124 BOS White blocks Nesmith!
JT blocks Siakam and shot clock expires for Pacers
Jrue draws a foul from Turner w/ 17 ticks on the clock > makes 2-2 FTs Pacers lineup change (Aaron Nesmith, Obi Toppin, Andrew Nembhard, Pascal Siakam, Buddy Hield) Celtics lineup change (Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Jrue Holiday, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum) JT deflects Nesmith's shot but whistled for a foul > C's will CHALLENGE TIME OUT CELTICS ... 129-124 BOS ... 11.4 TICKS > Call under review via Replay Successful Challenge > Clean block by JT > Jump Ball Jump to Pacers > Shot misses > OOB off Pacers TIME OUT CELTICS ... 3 TICKS TO GO ... 129-124 BOS Celtics will win this one ... In control most of game except for Q3 when they let the Pacer back in and let them have a short-lived lead. To C's credit, they regained their composure and took back the game in Q4 and held on despite some sloppiness in the final minutes.

That's what they do ... their goal is 45-50 threes each game ... we all hate it, especially when it's obvious they are having a bad night here & there but refuse to change it up to inside and/or midrange stuff. Guess we have to endure some frustration ...

Lol...why can't we find guys like that!... Oh, we do, but our last two rookie coaches wouldn't play the bench, trying to make themselves look good at the long term detriment to the team...finally Mazzulla is not a rookie coach and is listening to his pretty much superior coaches and is playing the bench...hence, Payton, Kornet, Queta...imagine that, they are all good...the best athletes ever from their city... They all made it to the NBA!...play them...

Must kill Brad to see Nesmith after trading for Brogdon and getting just 1 failed season (playoff wise) out of him before trading him off for Jrue. But I guess we wouldn't have Jrue w/o Nesmith for Brogdon. But the lesson learned is patience rewards ... I liked Bey but not as much as Nesmith in the draft for us. Now Bey is available having an off year while Nesmith is coming into his own. Be curious to see which one has the better future from here. I'd give Bey a go if I were Brad and able to trade for him here ...

Ever since siakam joined indy, Neismith is playing better.
Bey is awesome. I feel he hasnt found his team yet. He still young. I feel he could really help the Cs in different ways.

I get the fit of Olynyk with what Brad is looking for but if paying a FRDP for a rental I'd rather go with Bey for that pick since he's a RFA next year w/ a QO of $6.5MM and could be retained or even signed longer term. He'd be a better fit going forward in lieu of resigning guys like Svi, Banton & Stevens.

As much as I love Oly, I have to agree...I guess/I think...uh, maybe...

Another great win against a very good team.
I don't understand why we don't post Porzingas more. Seems unstoppable in the low post.
Happy for Nesmith. He's found a home, and has a nice new contract. He was inconsistent here, always hurt, and played the same position as Brown and Tatum. Minutes were going to be tough to get. I was rooting for the kid, but he always seemed to get hurt just as him minutes were going up.
If we still had him, we wouldn't have Brogdon, and if we didn't have Brogdon, we wouldn't have Holiday. So, despite his impressive stat line last night, I'd rather have Holiday over Nesmith any day and twice on Sunday.

that was a very good win over a team that has not yet peaked and will be a tough match up for anyone ion the playoffs. I have not seen that much of the Pacers, but following box scores, Nesmith seems to play his very best games against the C's, understandably so.
I of course have not seen every C's game, not even close, but I have seen a lot and feel that was Jrue's best game as a C.
I also thought last night was Porzingus at his best as a rim protector.
I would also have no issue if Mazz started to cut back on the two J's minutes some. otherwise, I believe he is doing a really great job managing minutes, getting players rest and keeping his bench focused and understanding their roles.

My man Queta was all over the court last night. He is a physical presence when he's on the court. I'd rather have him than a washed up Blake Griffin!

Reggie Miller said Porzingis was the 4th best player on the Celtics! I noticed that. Obviously tatum and brown. I would put white over jrue, but I'm assuming he means jrue third? Personally I would say it's kind of a 3-way tie between the J's and Porzy, except porzy doesn't play the minutes.

It's coming according to masslive.com
The path is there for the Celtics to take that next step. They only play one over .500 team in their next eight games before the All-Star break and that’s a Heat team that has currently lost seven straight games. The never-ending string of playoff opponents and tough fights may be coming to an end and that will allow for lower minutes and more rest if this team executes the way they can. On the flip side, the Bucks have the seventh toughest schedule remaining in the NBA while the Sixers, Knicks and Cavs are dealing with key injuries to their starters. The door is open for Boston to run away with the Conference in the regular season if they want to. All signs about this group so far this year have shown that capability, including Tuesday night.
