3 incorrect calls in the final 2 minutes of regulation & OT: All favoring the Timberwolves.

See, I believe Pierce is a much-better closer than Tatum is. Pierce has only 2 fewer buzzer-beaters than does Jordan (total of 7). In my opinion, if the clock is winding down and Pierce has the ball, more often than not.....GAME OVER. And the reason for that is he never settled for shooting the 3 in those situations. On a number of occasions, he took his guy off the dribble, got to his sweet spot, rose up and drained the game-winner. That's a far cry from simply standing at the 3-point line pounding the ball resulting in a fall away or side-step 3-point attempt. Hopefully Tatum will grow in that area and be more forceful in those situations so he can close out games better. If Tatum attacked more on final possessions, NOBODY would be able to stop him. Larry Bird only had 4! There's a lot more to being a closer than hitting the last shot! Tatum gets them to the closing situation! Who would you call a closer in today's game? The three closers I think of in the NBA today are Curry, Dame and Jokic. Give them the final shot of the game and, more likely than not, GAME OVER!

and his last shots of regulation? Probably 0 of the last 5! I was just referring to the last shots. Not his overall play. I know you're not happy with the quality of the final shots we've been getting. what I'm saying is, if it weren't for guys like Tatum and Brown, there would be no need to worry about last shots! They get us to that point! Tatum and Brown ARE NOT supposed to JUST get us to that point. They are supposed to GAME OVER, What's the purpose of getting us there only to fail on the final shot. That was my initial preface. Tatum is a dagger guy, not a closer guy. He'll get you there but, if you DESPARATELY NEED that final shot FOR THE WIN, it aint coming from Tatum.

There's different types of clutch. I consider those 2 shots Hauser hit in the 4th was as big as any shots in the game! One of them stopped a run, and the other cut it to 3, I believe. Without either 1 of those shots we lose! We are talking two different situations. Clutch, to me, is Jrue making an amazing defensive play to secure victory or hitting a 3-pointer after a Tatum FT miss rebounded by DWhite and passed around to Jrue in the corner. That is clutch. Again, I'm talking about GAME WINNER on the game's final possession. We (Tatum) have had at least 3 or 4 opportunities THIS SEASON to literally win the game on the final possession of a tie game, as rare of an opportunity as players get, we've had 3 or 4 opportunities THIS SEASON. And not once have we won the game with that final possession. IMO, had Tatum hit the game winner against MIN, we might have been "more ready" to play MIL last night. Might have had a tad more energy for that game, especially knowing Horford was out. It was obvious, we were exhausted from the night before.

With 24 seconds or less remaining in the game, Tatum is at the top of the list for making tying or go ahead shots!

Not debating with you. But I knew a guy who played for Umass and now is an analyst, he claims that clutch is for example to take and make a 3 point shot when you are losing by only two.. I dont believe in the word closer in a team sport but if we go by what we are talking here Mr. Bricks aint one.
