LeBron played 40 minutes last night! Guess he didn't get the memo about needing to play less minutes!

Chris Forsberg: Kristaps Porzingis on IG: “I will be lined up for the next game.” Celtics starters played 133 minutes together over Boston’s first 10 games (+112 in that span). Only 58 minutes in three appearances since. Celtics = 10-1 with starters healthy this season.

While we were busy drafting Juhann Begarin with the 45th pick in the 2021 draft. Austin Reeves was going undrafted! We need some better draft evaluators! Hauser was undrafted

Hauser was undrafted The same year Reeves went undrafted! There's a little more to the Reeves story though. Pistons were gonna take him at 42 and sign him to a 2 way, he asked them not to, so he could pick the team he wanted to play for. The Bucks were his 1st choice, the Lakers were his 2nd. Turned out pretty well, I would say!

What do you boys think about the Yankees getting Alex Verdugo, for not much of nothing?

What do you boys think about the Yankees getting Alex Verdugo, for not much of nothing? I liked Duggie BIG TIME and wish he were still a Dodger.
I hated to see him go but Mookie helped me get over his leaving.
Yanks will get Soto too which is just fine, fine, fine with me.
I'd rather have Duggie than "superstar" Soto anyhoooo.
He played hard every day in LA and with lots of energy in the dugout.
Solid all the way around.

What do you boys think about the Yankees getting Alex Verdugo, for not much of nothing? Love it. Verdugo is a well known clubhouse cancer whom nobody likes. Was benched multiple times last year due to lack of effort. Hes also slow with terrible pop for a corener outfielder. This was a brilliant move by Breslow, giving away a player who seems average on the surface, for nothing. But really, he's just baiting them into taking a shithead. The ole Trojan Horse. But my joy was short lived as they seem to be closing in on Soto who has a childlike love for the game and plays w/ more enthusiasm, heart, and energy than anyone you'll find.

He was a gold glove finalist last year! A lefthanded hitter in Yankee stadium. The Yankees got a steal! This could go down with the Babe and Clemons!

He's slow, no pop, streaky contact hitter who grounds out too often. Nobody likes him, and he's oft benched for lack of effort. Yanks are still trying to get Soto AND Grishom. Dublow is a platoon guy at best. Addition by subtraction.

Duggie was great in LA.
Soto was very so so IMHO in San Diego.

Svi, Stevens, and Banton are all non guaranteed contracts, I'd let one of them go, and sign TJ Warren.

Reports say he was trouble off the field in L.A. and the Sox also had issues ... most recently showing up late for meetings etc.
Didn't sound as though Cora was keen on seeing him rewarded w/ a new contract.
Yanks win the trade but it could be a case of "addition by subtraction."

Opponents gearing up with big money additions and the Sox are talking "ubuntu" with team get togethers at the golf course, etc and infield practice on Fenway Park field rather than practice field to eliminate errors.
Doesn't sound much like Cora ... must be the new GM's idea but he better have moar than that in his wallet ...

If Duggie had off the field troubles in LA... that's news to me.
He certainly had no issues on the field.
He was a fan favorite.
In Beantown, he garnered the 12th most MVP votes in the American League a few years ago.
That's what I began to see in LA before he left!
The kid was dynamic... lightning in a bottle!

Could be management trying to deflect the blame.

Could be management trying to deflect the blame. Sounds like some serious bad blood there.... hard to know what is going on but Duggie appeared to be a good citizen while in Dodger blue and played well.
I had him pegged as a future all star and hated like the devil to lose him.
What happened in Boston is a mystery to me... and very surprising too based on what I saw of him playing day in and day out in LA.
