They double teamed Tatum, and we let Butler abuse Grant with no help!!
Grant was the only Celtic with the balz to fight fire with fire. Our guys are too soft. They double teamed Brown & Tatum and we let Jimmy isolate 1-on-1 wherever he wanted and against whoever he had the best matchup against. How could Mazz let them have it both ways all night?
I thought Grant did the absolute best he could. On both ends. I loved his game tonight. Butler needed to be double teamed, though, and Mazz chose not to do it. Why? I don't know

Note that I said “the team at No. 3” because of widespread speculation the Trail Blazers, who currently own the pick, will seek to trade out of the third position rather than select another young player. With Portland in “win it for Dame” mode and the Blazers desperate for playable wings (even presuming they re-sign Jerami Grant), speculation is already widespread that a package of the third pick and Anfernee Simons might be used to snag an elite small forward. – via John Hollinger @ The Athletic Top Rumors, Trade, Anfernee Simons, Jerami Grant, Portland Trail Blazers

Small ball wins. Simple as that
If we know that 5 Out is the way to go vs the Heat how is it that Mazz doesn't make that change?
Is he still being swayed by the team to go with Rob? He's been here long enough to know what the Heat do and never employs a zone against them or counters their double teams and zones.

I'm disgusted and no wonder Doc threw in the towel on this team a month ago ... he predicted collapse and he was right!

Small ball wins. Simple as that well happens to be that Butler is the biggest strongest guy out there and no one can't guard him. Right behind him is Adebayo. No one can't guard him either.

Sunday night's game will be the first playoff game I won't be watching since last year's playoffs. I'll be watching Game 5, if C's should come back to Boston tied, 2-2.

With all due respect to Grant - he played his heart out - next time pick on Bam.
For as that great philosopher "The Wacko Kid" (Gene Wilder) once said, "No, no, no, don't do that. If you shoot him, you'll just make him mad."
Leave Butler alone, you can't get in his head!!
After the basket, Butler immediately got head-to-head with Williams as the pair exchanged words and were each assessed a technical foul. From that point, the Heat closed the game on a 24-9 run and left Boston with a stunning 2-0 lead in the series. Butler admitted that the exchange got him rolling down the stretch. “Yes, it did,” Butler said. “But that’s just competition at its finest. He hit a big shot, started talking to me. I like that. I’m all for that. It makes me key in a lot more. It pushes that will that I have to win a lot more. It makes me smile. It does. When people talk to me, I’m like, OK, I know I’m a decent player, if you want to talk to me out of everybody that you can talk to. But it’s just competition. I do respect him, though. He’s a big part of what they try to do. He switches. He can shoot the ball. I just don’t know if I’m the best person to talk to.” – via Nick Friedell @ ESPN Top Rumors, Grant Williams, Jimmy Butler, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat
When Williams was asked about his exchange with Butler after the Celtics’ loss, he simply stated that the two were competing, and that Butler “made some tough shots.” “I think he said something and I just responded,” Williams said, per NBC Sports Boston. “I’m a competitor. I’m going to battle. He got the best of me tonight. At the end of the day, it is out of respect because I am not going to run away from it. My mom always taught me, my dad as well, you get you’re a– kicked, you don’t come back home until you come to battle again.” – via Sports Illustrated Grant Williams, Jimmy Butler, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat
Grant Williams on Jimmy Butler: 'I respect him as a motherf****** player'
And although he was bested in Game 2, Williams said he has no plans of backing down from the 33-year-old. “Sure, you did ‘poke the bear,’ and how you’re going to respond … He made some tough shots,” Williams said. “It’s a battle. I’m going to keep battling. He’s gonna have to make every single tough shot the rest of the series because I’m not gonna turn and look otherwise. … I respect him as a motherf—— player.” – via Sports Illustrated Top Rumors, Grant Williams, Jimmy Butler, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat

This core is flawed!!!!!! Yeah, I was against it at the time, but in retrospect we should have traded Brown and the kitchen sink for Durant to win now...don't see a future for this core here anymore...

Ah, what else are you going to do on Sunday night?...Might as well suffer with the rest of us...I will definitely be watching...missed the first two games due to activities with my son...never even bothered to watch the taped games...I have already seen the movie, same crap over and over and over and over again...

Al is hurting us. He let Bam get a key rebound and dunk when we needed a rebound. And, right now, if he can't play D, he's useless.
