San Antonio comes into this early-evening matchup on a three-game losing streak, with all of those losses by double digits and two of them coming by a deficit of 35 or more — hence the wildly one-sided spread on Sunday.
With the Spurs missing two of their top-five scorers, Boston has no excuse not to win big against one of the league’s least successful cellar-dwellers during the 2022-23 season.

Boston Celtics vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction
A game with an injury report akin to a CVS receipt is typically tough to prognosticate. With the spread being so vast, it’s difficult to predict the Celtics covering it with Jayson Tatum’s health in question.
Boston should take this one, but with the Houdini foresees a surprisingly close matchup from a Gregg Popovich-coached team that could give the Cs a scare at various points on Sunday.

Celtics injury report: Jayson Tatum added for Spurs game Sunday

Jayson Tatum is one of three Celtics players listed on the injury report ahead of their 6 p.m. Sunday game against the Spurs at TD Garden.
Tatum was listed with a left hip contusion, which is the same bump he had from their six-game road trip. He fell hard on his left hip against the Timberwolves on March 15, which led to him being questionable for the Trail Blazers game a couple days later. However, Tatum suited up as the injury didn’t seem to be too serious. It’s unclear if it’s the same hip contusion, but it’s something the Celtics will monitor.
On the bright side, the C’s should have Malcolm Brogdon available for Sunday’s game. He was a late scratch less than an hour before tipoff with left low back pain. But he isn’t on the injury report, so he’ll be good to go. (A contradiction from the report above)
Elsewhere, Payton Pritchard was also upgraded to questionable with left heel pain. He hasn’t played in a game since March 6 and has sat the past eight games. He was doubtful going into the Pacers victory before being downgraded to out. But the fact that Pritchard is questionable now is a positive sign he’s close to returning.

This one's a personal message for Jaylen: As predicted, since Brown's interview with the NYTs and the Ringer, the stories being floated of potential trade scenarios involving him have come non-stop. If he didn't like the previous trade scenarios where he tweeted "SMH," what's he thinking about his self-generated trade speculations? You reap what you sow Jaylen ...
