In last season's playoffs, Bam only scored 20 or more twice in that 7-game series.
Rob had a lot to do with that.

Good to hear we've got big Al locked up! He's probably been our 3rd best overall player so far this season! Although White and Brogdon are starting to make a case for themselves! Tatum was other worldly last night! Miami's offense was clicking last night , and they still couldn't overcome our offense! We have too many weapons!

Overconfidence is a recipe for disappointment. True. But under Joe, it's looking like the Celts are in good hands. Oh I'd def say we are the favorites. But the league is so good, favorites doesnt mean start counting your chickens before they hatch. 1. Theres no psychological upside from there. I mean, if you decide in early Dec that the Celts are going to win it all, then if they do you are more relieved than excited. Once you pencil us in as the team thats going to win it all, its only downside from there. 2. What does "favorites" mean? Well I mean , that in my opinion, higher percentage chance than everyone else. So for example: Celtics - 35% likely to win it all GS - 20% likely to win it all Milw - 20% likely to win it all Everyone else 25% combined Well in this case, we're the favorites, but theres still a 65% chance we dont win.

I'm not concerned because even if the Cs won't win the championship this season, the Cs can win it in 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028, or 2029. Time is on the side of the Celtics. That's the reward we get for the team making the right picks in the lottery, Brown in 2016 and Tatum in 2017. But the road that led to where the Celts are this season was very bumpy. Remember, it was just a year ago that you and I had to justify why Tatum is a superstar while some of the posters wanted Tatum traded.

He's not even getting 24 minutes per game, but he's productive and efficient, 50% FG, 49% 3pt FG, and 86% FTs.

At the end of the year I think the top 5 teams in the East will be, Celtics, Bucks, Nets, Cavs and the Heat! It will not be a cakewalk to the finals!

The Heat will be outside the top 5. Lowry and Butler are always getting hurt because of age. You'll change your mind about the Heat after the Celts beat them again tomorrow. The Heat are pretenders IMO.

GSW are the best team in the league until someone knocks them off the mountain

The good news is we can close games with Tatum, Brown, Smart, Horford and Rob Or Tatum, Brown, Smart, Horford and Grant Or Tatum, Brown, Smart, Horford and Brogdon
Throw a hot White in there. We can close with 8 players. Not many teams can say this. AND, as we've all discussed, Brad may not be done

Watching the replay of the game on NBA TV right now.
I can't wait for Rob to return but our defense is not very good right now.
We're getting beat easily on the perimeter and our PnR defense is non-existent (on 90% of the PnR's, Horford stayed glued to Bam). Also, he and Grant had some real breakdowns in communication on switches. You'd think they'd have that down pat by now.
Miami had a whole lot of open perimeter shots. Rob will help but we'll have to play much better perimeter defense.
I wonder how much our uptempo offense is taking away from our defensive intensity.

They'll be atough out w Butler, just like they were in last years playoffs seris. Had me sweating for sure. Especially if they get Oladipo back at some point also. Miami overachieved in this game. This season the Heat are just 25th in FG% at 45.1% and 21st in 3pt FG% at 33.8%. In this game the Heat shot 52.2% from the field and 45% from beyond the arc. That's way above their season average. Don't be surprised if the Celts win again by double digits in the rematch tomorrow because the Heat's shooting % will most likely start to normalize. That's what I'm feeling

I do agree that we are giving up too many open 3s. Which is a bigger concern for me than the interior D. But I dont want to slow down for it. Theres gotta be another way to tighten that up. The uptempo is the way to go. Transition is when we are at our best.
