Some Detroit/Auto/Hwy related music videos ... plenty to choose from!
This one is by the Highwaymen - Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Kris Kristopherson
and for good measure: Leslie West/Mountain, with Steve McQueen in Bullet and some 2 Lane Blacktop (maybe the 1st hot rod movie)
Jaylen Brown questionable, 2 rotation players out against Pistons
By Souichi Terada | sterada@masslive.com
The Celtics will be without at least two rotation players when they take on the Pistons at 7 p.m. Saturday. Al Horford (low back stiffness) and Malcolm Brogdon (right hamstring tightness) are both listed as out on the injury report. In important news, Jaylen Brown is questionable with a left knee contusion. Danilo Gallinari and Robert Williams III also continue to be out.
For Brown, he looked like he took a knock for his knee in Friday’s win over the Nuggets. He had it checked out but still ended up playing 35 minutes, putting up 25 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Even if Brown sits Saturday, the contusion will be worth monitoring going forward.
“I’m alright,” Brown said postgame Friday. “I had the doctor take a look at my knee. I rolled my ankle last game too. So just a little bit banged up, but I’ll be fine.”
Brogdon will miss his second straight game because of the hamstring tightness, which he suffered in Wednesday’s win over the Pistons. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said pregame Friday that Brogdon is considered day-to-day and should return “sooner than later.”
Horford will miss the second game of the back-to-back for the third straight time this season. Previously, he sat the games against the Magic and Knicks as the big man hasn’t suited up in those scenarios yet this season.
The Celtics will likely be cautious with both Horford and Brogdon — especially considering they’re going up against the 3-10 Pistons. Horford is 36 and coming off a long playoff run, so managing his minutes will be a season-long mission. Brogdon has battled injuries in recent seasons, and the C’s need him to be healthy for the playoffs.
Expect multiple Celtics bench players to get more minutes. Payton Pritchard stepped up Friday with Brogdon out, and he’ll likely see some more minutes against the Pistons. Luke Kornet and Noah Vonleh will be the next big men up in Horford’s absence.
The Celtics are looking to win their sixth straight game, including beating the Pistons in two out of three games. But Detroit has given Boston fits in recent seasons, so the Celtics will still have to come prepared Saturday.
