I dont want a traditional big, slow us down too much. Yeah, I agree, a traditional big will slow us down. Celts spending too much money on 3 guards. Brogdon - 22.6m Smart - 17.2m White - 16.9m PP can take some of White's minutes. Besides, JD Davison also has great potential. Could be another Maxey. I think it will be worth it swapping White for Turner.

I was mistaken on Hauser. he is showing he can help this team, and hang in there on D. he appears to have over taken PP off the bench.

I dont want a traditional big, slow us down too much. Just to add nuance: On offense, I want a big who doesnt just park under the basket, for a few reasons: 1. I want a big who gets involved with the designed plays, so part of the x's and o's, not a guy who parks under the rim and is more of a "Im not really part of the play, but if it misses, Im in a good spot for a rebound". But I still want the big to contribute on the glass, so they have to be active and mobile with good anticipation. Someone who sees the shot go up and quickly react and fight through the crowd to get into a rebounding position (rather than a guy who just sits in a rebounding position). 2. Good offensive strategies often draw the opposing big away from the baket to open up room for slashers and back-door cutters. Which Tatum has been awesome at this year. If your offensive big parks at the basket, then the defensive big parks at the basket and you cant really get behind the D. Ofn defense: I want a guy who isnt completely lost when the opposing C can shoot a bit, which will draw out our defensive center, and some centers are just lost trying to play anywhere but the rim. I also want a big w quick feet and good change of direction ability (agility and hips). So hes not an easy blow by for a talented roller and can still do a little something if switched onto a forward with some shake. But who also offers some rim protection. So recovery speed, agility, foot work, anticipation, active, mobile, athletic, wingspan, high IQ, gets involved in the play....

If need be, Brown slides to SG. Celts don't have to make a move now because the Celts are doing well, but I don't want the Celts to enter the playoffs with only Al and Rob as bigs. Griffin is too small. Vonleh is not good enough. And Kornet is really just an 11th or 12th man.

I don't see them trading Smart or White. I don't know that they see a need. Eventually TimeLord will be back. I think they are riding out the storm until he gets back
I'm not saying they will NOT make a trade, I'm saying they make a more substantial trade later. They are being patient, and the team is doing well right now.

White for Turner would be a great trade for the Celtics! Not only is Blake too small, he's also too bad!

Vonleh is 6'10" 257 lbs Blake is 6'9" 252 lbs. So...............is Vonleh also too small to play C? Vonleh is legit 6-10. Combine measurements has Griffin at only 6-8.

Rob is only 6-8. .your point? Rob's wingspan is the game changer. We'll be needing a replacement for Horford also. He's older than the coach. Fully agree counting on Rob and AL longterm isn't smart. We have few trade chips . White won't bring all we need and PP won't bring much. No decent ist rounders either.. No way in hell are we building the next dynasty ..

If Kevin McHale was the black hole, Jaylen Brown is the black hole on steroids! Does that guy ever pass??

At this moment, Ill settle for the one year chip. From that moment on, I want to see JD take a starting position. That could be fun. All the 3Js there

Jaylen's 7 turnovers are perhaps the reason some think he's a black hole. Both our superstars had 2 assists last night

Don't think White will fetch much.. unless he shoots 10+ times a game.. ain't happening with this teams makeup.

I'm not sure JD could step in this year. Brogdan has a history of injuries, as does Smart. Having PP as an emergency guard is fine for now. Let's not get carried away here............I thought everyone liked "big" Point guards??
