So our early nemeses have been the Cavaliers and the Bulls. Last time we played the Bulls (in Chicago) we came out fast & hot like a cheap hooker on a Saturday night only to lose our libedo and the game as soon as we shot our load of threes and abruptly ran out of bullets. We were unable to sustain the superiority we opened with over the entire herd for the full 48 despite our pace and confidence, and soon fell prey to an older, wiser steer of great stature and strength.
On that other side, a great bull strolled up & down the field with the fire in his eyes of an angry "pitbull" who just had his dinner stolen by a schnauzer and was intent on teaching the visiting greenhorns a lesson. His longhorns are a new bunch and are looking to join the NBA party with a new battle cry this season ...
The Great Bull and his cohort, an Ex-Raptor with Spurs off, proved too much for the smaller, impotent greenhorns on this night. These Bulls weren't having their party crashed so fast and managed to turn a "cow chip" of a start for themselves into a win and quite the embarrassment for their opponents with help to some degree from an opponent who went "batty" and infuriated some zebras who promptly kicked the "Batman" and his Team Leader from the field.
Tonights' rematch is a national viewing so let's not watch the "Bulls on Parade" in The Garden!
and remember, "It's a Two Lane Highway" so momentum will flow back and forth.
Keep up the pace and when 3's stop falling find other ways to keep those doggies rolling ... rolling ... rolling!

No Good to Cry ... Big Al Anderson of The Wildweeds but better know for his time with NRBQ
Shitty recording but it's from around 68' ... their cover a few years later of the Beatle's Sargent Peppers was insane!

Here's one I bet you never heard: Spun out of Parsons & Hillman (The Byrds) into the Burritos, when Hillman fired Parsons from the Burritos (much like what happened with the Byrds - seems Gram preferred hanging with The Stones and getting drunk hence the Burritos cover of "Wild Horses") Gram went on to form a solo band. Rick Roberts and Michael Clarke formed Firefall with Jock Bartley from Gram Parsons' solo band:
In 2011 the reconfigured band led by Jock Bartley did this original from the 70's on Nashville Live:

Very vagely listened to Hillmans more than Parsons. FBB rivaled PPL but looking back Jackson Brown was the best at country-rock fusion.. Have a close friend who played Parson's music 24/7..Still to this day he's sad when your bring up Parson's pre mature death.. Joshua Tree Inn is still open i think..Spent 2 nites there back about 12 or so years. Being half Red Neck half Hippy this hits home more.

I never appreciated Browne back in the 70's ... I was more into Steely Dan, Allman Bros, Yes, Zeppelin and so on but these days I've grown to do so given the size and quality of his songbook.

Gram died from a morphine OD in Room #8 at the Inn. Gram's road manager promised to spread his ashes in the Park there and supposedly stole his body from LAX on it's way to Louisiana. He then tried to cremate his body and spread the ashes. Not sure if that ever happened though there have been illegal monuments and unending shrines left and removed time & time again over the years.
The Inn/Park is also notorious for UFO sightings and over the years multiple dead bodies have shown up in the Park. Some believe "skinwalkers" hunt there at night ... wonder if these are related to similar stories associated with that documentary on Skinwalker Ranch in Utah? There are even videos re Joshua Tree Nat'l Park skinwalkers!

Back to Roundball: The games that the Bulls have lost were ones where their opponents swarmed or double teamed their key ballhandlers (LaVine & DeRozen) forcing them to rely on secondary guys (Caruso, Dragic & Green) ... 7-8 games in though, those guys are coming around and Green has become a glue guy.
Ex-Celtic Javonte Green (my keeper for the final roster spot a few seasons ago) has become a huge contributor to the Bulls early success this season:
Probable Bulls Starters:
Ayo Dosunmu Zach LaVine DeMar DeRozan
Patrick Williams Nikola Vucevic
Bulls Reserves
Derrick Jones, Jr Goran Dragic Alex Caruso Tony Bradley Marko Simonovic Javonte Green Dalen Terry
Out/Injuries
Lonzo Ball (knee) out Coby White (quad) doubtful Andre Drummond (shoulder) out
Two-Way Players
Malcolm Hill Kostas Antetokounmpo
Key Matchups:
Jaylen Brown vs DeMar DeRozan
DeRozan is playing very well, averaging 23.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He is shooting 48.3% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc. In the first game between these two teams, DeRozan finished with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal. He is capable of scoring inside and on the perimeter. The Celtics need to find a way to slow him down.
Derrick White vs Zach LaVine
LaVine is averaging 21.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.0 steals. He is shooting 41.6% from the field and 43.5% from beyond the arc. In the Celtics first game against the Bulls, he finished with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. LaVine shoots very well from the perimeter and so the Celtics need to stay with him wherever he is on the court.
Honorable Mention:
Al Horford vs Nikola Vucevic
Vucevic is averaging 15.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. He is shooting 41.2%% from the field and 35% from beyond the arc. He is a threat to grab rebounds and also to block shots so Horford needs to stay with him inside and he also can hit 3’s so he will spread the floor for the Bulls.
