Got a little ice storm going on here in Western Ky. Even though Brown had some turnovers and only scored 15 points, they were timely points. I actually thought he had a good game. No way Hardin should make the allstar game over Brown! JRich and Grant were great off the bench! Smart and Horford still should both be traded, but I doubt it happens!

His (count 'em) 1... 2..... 3..... 4...... 5..... 6.... 7 TO's were certainly timely too!
And that constitutes a good game?
Hmmmm....
Smart had 22 points and 2 TO's.
Good game also?
Watch Smart clean up a JB TO!
And which one is the all star?

How in the world could they have kept the heart and soul of the Celtics off the all star team?? And Brown didn't make it either! Maybe he'll get picked to take Durants place!

Considering how poorly the Cs have played this season and under-performed top to bottom, I would be embarrassed to vote any of them onto the AS team.... individual honors be damned!

Any argument that Tatum is not a top 10-15 player in the NBA and the least of our concerns, in my view, is foolish.

It wasn't that long ago that fans were making the very same argument about another young, exciting, dynamic, very immature, top 15 player who happened to wear a Celtic uniform and was the exceptionally marketable face of the franchise going forward as the Big Three faded from view.
He was going to revolutionize the PG position while leading the Celtic to playoff glory.
Problem is that he never grew up as a player until long past his prime.
He ended up winning a 2nd ring as a role player in LA, a franchise he belonged with from the very start.

First of all, dont see how thats relevant to Tatum. Secondly, your allowance for letting your personal disdain for the player cloud your judgement rivals KY doing the same thing with smart. The last 2 years w the big 3 2011/12 an 2012/13, despite them showing significant signs of aging, he led the league in assists both years. After they were gone in 13/14, he had 9.8 assists/game despite playing on a hilariously bad team. In first half of 14/15 (before we traded him) the assists trended back up to 10.8 which is amazing considering the team was terrible. We needed a full rebuild at that point cuz we were just awful, and so we shipped him out for Jae Crowder, Jameer Nelson (who we immediately flipped for Nate Robinson), Brandan Wright (who we immediately flipped for a first), a first and a second. So we got a solid starter in Jae, a good (and fun) backup pg/sparkplug in robinson, 2 firsts and a second. BTW , he was a UFA the year after we traded him, so we got ALL that for 1/2 season of Rondo. His contributions to our title and subsequent finals appearance are not debatable. And we never paid him more than 11m/yr. Id say all in all, that was an excellent pick and he brought a great deal of value to the team. By being a big part of the 2 title pushes, by giving us a reason to watch for a bit after the big 3 left (rest of team was awful), and for bringing in a haul when we shipped him out (especially considering the contract was expiring), and for never being expensive

I would agree that Rondo is very good, and Smart isnt very good (but he is good). But I do think that you have drastically underestimated Smarts trade value and value to team (but I assume some of that was partially joking). But now with the hand thing, his trade value may indeed go south (but that wasnt your point when you were saying he had no value).

They have a lot in common.
My disrespect for Rondo crystalized after he quit the 2010 Team USA for personal, family reasons, to avoid being cut.
He threw his 2 year old daughter under the bus, blaming her for his leaving the team.
Quite a story if you are old enough to remember.
Yes, thank God we got Jae out of the trade for R9R.
And what did the Mavs get?
The real, unmanageable, contemptuous Rondo in all his c**ky, defiant splendor!
There was nothing clouded about my judgment of Rondo.
My eyes were and still are wide open.

Rondo was good for us until the big3 couldn't control him any more. he was very good to great for us for about 3 years.
Remember when KG went down and Rondo had his duel with the Ben Gordon in that Bulls series?

Remember when KG went down and Rondo had his duel with the Ben Gordon in that Bulls series? He was great for us his whole tenure. Thats why we were able to get so freaking much for a half-season of him. But he shit the bed in Dallas and we won that trade walking away

My opinion, youre letting people here influence you. Too many people incorrectly pointing to smart as the problem, so to rebut, you blame Tatum. The real problem, however, is the lack of shooters/scorers, forcing us to rely on guys who arent known to shoot to shoot (Jrich, smart, dennis). Coupled with the fact that al is practically done, but we insist on starting him over jrich for god knows what reason. I aint no smart hater. I would prefer he not get traded, even w the glass in his hand. I think he's very good.
