I think I used to battle Fierce once in awhile. Now I am defending him. Maybe Solly will end up the same way. Time will tell. But he already predicted the Celts will not be in the finals this season. I mean really??? The Celts don't even have Kemba back yet and Ainge has yet to use the TPE. And less than 10 games into the season he already predicted Celts will not be in the finals. What's worse than that? He already told some of us that Jayson Tatum will be leaving Boston soon. Really??? Tatum's new contract hasn't even started yet and Tatum is already leaving Boston because Boston is not a good enough city for a guy like Jayson Tatum?

Hedley and i fought for what 6 years maybe more.. I don't think we blocked each other once.. Were men however.. Right Paddy? It’s funny, nobody like opinions on anything if they differ. You, hedley, croc, etc have been great. Don’t always agree but can view each other’s POV. Depends on the maturity level of the poster I guess. Croc and I even started patriot threads, we should ask him if I’m a troll Croc is cool damn straight up also no flopping Most here are.

A knowledgeable basketball fan would at least wait for Kemba to come back to see how he fits in with this current Celtics team then come to a conclusion.
Kemba is a legit all-star who's also one of the best scorers in the NBA and he's not going to make a difference?
Who are you kidding!

I've already blocked him so Che is right, I will only see his post if Che makes me see his post. Before I forget, the new guy told everybody he's a realist. But he also doesn't assume injuries will happen heading into the playoffs. A realist who doesn't think injuries will be a factor in an NBA season? DUH!!!

Believe me, one of the reasons I'm still pissed is because I thought THIS was going to be the year. Everything was in place. We just needed to upgrade our bench. We were two games from the Finals last year. I felt all last year we were the team that could give the Lakers the most trouble. As long as everyone was healthy, we were poised. We had no more high picks left, and we had everyone under contract for one more year. We had the team in place. Teague still would have signed, I'm sure. Assuming Thompson came for the MLE....maybe, maybe not. Our starting team COULD have been - Kemba, Smart, Brown, Tatum and Thompson. Our bench could have been Teague, Pritchard, the Butler kid, Theis and RWill/GWill. THAT, my friends is a talented bench. End of games? Benedict Arnold goes in, Kemba or Smart comes out, depending on what we need. That team is deep and talented, and championship caliber. Now there are too many unknowns for me, and I feel we've gone a little backwards. He's better use the TPE, but whoever he uses it on may not move the needle enough. And THAT is why I'm still pissed at both Johnny Damon, and our GM, who may have blown an easy chance to improve the team...

Scal and Forsberg discussed this in one of their podcasts. So you should be thankful that Johnny Damon left. Just because the TPE hasn't been used, it doesn't mean Ainge will not use it. Right now the Celts got TT because Johnny Damon left. Getting TT would not be possible if Johnny Damon didn't opt out. So we'll just have to wait for the TPE to be used. But you already agree that the benched improved, right? When Kemba returns the starters will also become better. That's why it's premature to say the Celts will not be in the finals only after a few games.

We have been burned by it somewhat.

With nine players out, Boston Celtics to have minimum eight players for game vs. Miami Heat.
I was wrong we were real close however.

Damon played for the Sox not the Celts Fierce..
