Yes rest. Playing every other night is tough on these guys. Then you throw in a back to back like two days ago and we've played Tuesday, Wednesday and tonight (three games in 4 nights). During the normal season, they get two or three days off between games. Every other night takes a toll on the body. Love ya Petey, but give me a break...I work construction all day long and I am 60...reminds me of this prick who blamed his loss in ping pong to my 14 year old son that his wrist hurt...put on another skirt...

Lol, I was going to post that too, but decided to go easy...I always play that song for my kids birthdays...
'Today is my birthday!!!! Da na na na...Happy birthday to you!!!'....classic...
Going to be a chill day at home firing up the barby and watching the C's and B's and hopping in the community pool...at an opportune moment when it is somewhat empty...maybe work on my curveball...wiffle style..

That's the key, the 3s don't have to be open in today's NBA. Tatum makes 3s even if there's a defender in front of him. The new NBA is about making 3s even if it's not open. Or getting fouled Celts doing a good job getting to the FT line so far.

Looks like the Celts will secure the 3rd seed after this win.
Celts win the series against the Heat, 2-1.
So I think the Celts' remaining 3 games are not as important.

Good statement game besides Miami they've played well. Note to national media they played well but were f'ed by the refs vs Milwaukee actual bubble record 3-1.
Keep Abby drop the useless Scal!

Celts doing a good job getting to the FT line so far. From what I'm seeing league-wide, there are a lot of fouls being called all the time. It seems like the officials are over-present right now. The paranoid conspiracy theorist in me that I'm trying to talk off the ledge tends to think that when that happens the officials are setting the stage to control a lot of the action.

Celts have a better shot at a Finals appearance because of the much improved Jaylen Brown.
Jaylen's taken his game to another level.
Before the lockdown, Jaylen was just a borderline All-Star, now he's a legit star player.

Why do you prefer the Lakers?...I prefer the Clippers because I just dont want LA or LeQueen that close to a title...I think the Clippers would be a harder opponent, except that the Lakers get three extra players/refs...5 on 8...

It's time we erase the memory of Game 7 of the 2010 Finals. The way to do that is to beat the Lakers in another Finals.

I agree and time also to remove, well some of it at least, LeBron having his way with us in Miami and Cleveland with our last title against him in 2008! But,as kyceltic said, I want the Lakers out and there wouldn’t be a dry eye in my house if they are knocked out by someone else. Same with the Yankees!

I agree SF...quicker the Lakers are out the better...maybe we can square off against them next year when our guys have been in the league a little more and get more respect from the refs...
Though I understand Fierce's bravado...but i can enjoy a Celtics/Clippers finals a lot more easily...

Yes and they seem to be experimenting with this "hostile act" call ... another set up for the playoffs?

I saw it ... and here's my response:
Fierce must be reading B/R again. They insist Brown's play is being missed or discounted by fans. Not so here! Almost to a member it's agreed that Brown has been the best Celtic in the bubble. And I see him getting accolades from the written press as well as the broadcast media. It was mentioned here last night that a reference on TV was made to "Jaylen Brown & the Boston Celtics."
Here's something on B/R's thinking ...
B/ R suggests this player could reach ceiling elsewhere by Mark Nilon

Though Jaylen Brown looks well on his way to All-Star status with the Boston Celtics, Bleacher Report believes he may be best suited elsewhere.
When the Boston Celtics selected Jaylen Brown with the third overall pick back in the 2016 NBA Draft, it was seen as somewhat of a reach for the franchise, with some deeming it as simply a “mistake” of a selection.
However, fast forward four years and you’ll see the wing is locked in with the franchise through the 2023-24 season (that seems odd to write) after signing a $115M contract extension — which was also highly questioned by fans at the time — that, to at this current point in time, he seems to be living up to every penny of.
Filling in as the final cog of the only tandem to be averaging 20+ points this season (alongside Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum), Brown is finding himself boasting career numbers seemingly all across the board. Through 55 games played, the 23-year-old is putting up 20.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game on 49 percent shooting from the floor, and 39 percent shooting from deep.
With his tremendous progressions after a lowly 2018-19 campaign that brought his play into question, it appears that, moving forward, the future seems bright for both the Boston Celtics and Brown, as one can certainly assume an All-Star nod is just on the horizon for the young buck… after all, he was already an arguable snub from this year’s exhibition.
Jaylen Brown seems to be on the right path towards stardom at this juncture, and Beantown seems to be a prime place for this to happen. However, according to some, it is under the belief that the fourth-year talent’s full potential won’t be reached unless he makes his way onto another team.
Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley recently penned a piece entitled NBA Stars 1 Trade Away from Becoming Superstars where he discusses five specific players who would be more highly credited for their services should they don a different team’s jersey. Of course, as you probably guessed by now, Jaylen Brown was found amongst these five listed talents.
Buckley went on to state:
To be fair, Buckley does have a point.
Brown’s success and massive improvements this year have been kept in the shadows of the play by his All-Star teammates Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker. Based on talent alone, the wing has the potential to be the best player on many other teams across the league.
However, playing on the stacked Boston Celtics, it’s hard for the typical viewer to see this.
In short, the odds of Brown being shipped out of town any time soon are slim to none. With him slotted in as the C’s third option, the team boasts arguably the best core in the entire NBA and, in turn, are seen as legitimate contenders to take home the Larry O’Brien trophy at the end of this season.
So, yes, while Brown’s public recognition might be illuminated on another squad, he, and the shamrocks, are finding ample success together, and look to have continued success in the years to come.
Notoriety is all well and good, but the ultimate goal for any player should be to win a title. With the Boston Celtics, Jaylen Brown has the best chance of achieving this highest of goals.

Ben Simmons is DONE for the season.
That must mean that we drew the 76ers and sweep the hell out of them, right?

9. Early in the third quarter, Toronto went on a quick 6-0 run and cut Boston’s lead to 10 at 55-45. Brad Stevens did something Celtics fans regularly beg him to do: he called a timeout to quell the run. Whatever Stevens said worked as the Celtics outscored the Raptors 36-12 over the final 10 minutes of the quarter to put the game on ice. It was nice to see even the coach making an adjustment that he’s often loathe to make.
10. Boston has three seeding games left at Walt Disney World before the playoffs start. Those games are all winnable for the Celtics, as they play the Magic, Grizzlies and Wizards. But don’t be surprised if Stevens tosses a couple away as he manages his main players to have them ready for the postseason.

In this game, the Celtics used penetration and ball movement to set up outside shots, highlighted by the team’s 27 assists.
Robert Williams had another great game, coming off his breakout performance against Brooklyn. He scored 10 in only 11 minutes, grabbed for rebounds, and was a presence defensively. He has the tools to be a stellar modern-day NBA center on the defensive side, as he can switch easily and protect the rim.
However, he has a tendency to make mistakes that drive coach Brad Stevens insane. If he can increase his basketball IQ and begin to understand his place within the defense, he should get a permanent rotation spot.
Stevens gave a preview of the potential playoff rotation, playing only eight guys in meaningful minutes: Tatum, Brown, Kemba, Hayward, Theis, Marcus Smart, Brad Wanamaker, and the aforementioned Williams. It’s certainly possible that Enes Kanter could be used in some matchups, but against most modern NBA teams he has trouble finding his place on the court.
While he has his way on the offensive glass, he gets crushed on defense, specifically in the pick and roll. It’s also possible for someone like Semi Ojeleye or Grant Williams to crack the rotation come playoff time, but right now, those eight players have earned Stevens’ trust in the bubble.
