I just don't see how NBA teams can pay the players their current salaries if there are no fans. No fans means no ticket sales. We better enjoy this season in the bubble because maybe this will be the only NBA we'll see for a while.
Nah ... they'll delay the start of the new season till Dec or more likely Jan when a vaccine has been distributed.
Worse that can happen is the entire season gets pushed out again thru the summer.
There will be 3-5 vaccines and numerous meds/antibodies available to treat those not needing intensive care until the vaccine.
On site and at home testing with results in 10 mins is coming soon ... once the hospitals, schools and workplaces can test before entering the building and isolate infected for quarantine things will get back to normal fairly fast except for the unemployed whose employers end up bankrupt.
We are real close ... expect something positive by Thanksgiving if not sooner.

Expanded definition of “hostile act”The definition of a hostile act has also been broadened for instant replay purposes. The expanded definition will allow referees to review plays to “determine the appropriate penalty for players or coaches if they are involved in hostile encounters with each other, referees or fans.” No further explanation was given, but if things get messy during a game, officials will be taking their time to determine the proper course of action.
I'd like to know why a common foul wasn't called with the review to check for a hostile act. W/o a common foul call 1st, the only option was guilty or innocent of the hostile act. Ok, so it wasn't hostile but at least a common foul should apply. Once called it can be overturned as was the "Act" or even both. But they protected Giannis again by calling the hostile act in place of a common foul ... pretty slick NBA.

I think a common file has to be called at the time. I don't think you can pull a foul out of the tape unless it's technical

That's my gripe ... why did they call "hostile act" rather than a common foul first with a review to determine if the hostile act prevailed. They didn't even give themselves the option of using the common foul by focusing on only the hostile act ... seems like an easy out in tough situations like that to protect the Superstar and the Refs.

They didn't call a hostile Act. They reacted to tice's reaction. They looked on the tape to see if there is a flagrant foul or some type of hostile actions but they couldn't call just a regular personal foul

If nothing else I have no problems saying the officials played far too big of a role in this game. Let em play!

Limited Kemba and no show Tatum vs. missing Bledsoe. It will be hard to beat the Bucks.

Auntie Dumpo couldn't have fouled out if he drove a bulldozer in. He whacked Theis that's a foul, regardless. He clearly charged Smart. Everyone's feet move on those as they set for the hit.
Besides Tatum's dismal performance...The refs were putrid down the stretch. This is exactly why the NBA has a black eye, hoaky calls in favor of the bigger players especially when the game is on the line.

Matt Velasquez the Bucks beat writer said the charge is called a block every time. It is called a block every time a superstar has 5 personals on them. Otherwise it's a called charge. This clown says Smart should be fined. No it's Capers who should be fined.
If there was no foul at all on the Theis play, why is the whistle blown? Complete embarassment

Complete embarassment The whistle is blown in reaction to Theis and to make sure he wasn't hurt. They can't go back and call a common foul. I'm sorry to say this and you know I love Marcus but he was sliding all over well after the offensive player left the floor

How many times do you see them move on that play and it's a charge?

Funny they didn't even quote the rules right when they were talking about it. The actual rule is you have to be in place before the offensive player leaves the ground. At least that's the way I learned it

Oh it popped up today.
Why no R Will and OJELEYE is never going to be an NBA player. Stevens plays the idiot again...
Theis at PF and R Will at Center maybe for just 10 minutes a game?

Did that really come from Jaylen? Yeah, sticking up for his boys...I like it...bottom line though is the league is star driven so the refs will do all they can to not foul out a top star...not a conspiracy, just how the NBA works...Giannis is the new favored one in the East with LeQueen going to the west...

He'll never be the go to guy. He's not a smart ballplayer.
