The good news is that an MRI on Hayward’s foot came back clean. There’s no structural damage and the team does not see his pain as a long term issue. Here’s more from Stevens: “It’s nothing muscular, it’s nothing bone wise. So he’s just got pain in one spot,” Stevens said. “Whether that’s from the shot that could be better within any day now or whether it’s something that he just needs to continue to figure out how to manage it best. That’s probably the way that they’re going to have to look at it... he’s going to be day to day.” The Detroit Pistons come to Boston banged up, too. Blake Griffin and Luke Kennard are listed as doubtful for tonight and back up center Christian Wood is already out. Marcus Smart, who was already listed as out yesterday, is still recovering from an eye infection that has kept him out for the last two weeks and four games. According to Stevens, the infection that started in one eye and migrated to the other is one of the worst the doctors have ever seen.

Stevens' update on Marcus Smart was less promising, however.
The Celtics guard has missed Boston's last four games due to an eye infection, and apparently his eye isn't getting much better.
"The last report I got (from the training staff), they didn’t think they’ve seen one this bad," Stevens told reporters Friday, per Forsberg.
"He’s just really had a tough go about it. So, I don’t know when he’ll be back. He’s still not around here."
Ainge said Thursday he hopes Smart can return to the team by Christmas for their matchup with the Toronto Raptors.
The silver lining for Boston is that Smart had been fighting through nagging oblique and finger injuries, so his absence entering a soft portion of the schedule may allow those ailments to further heal.www.nbcsports.com/boston/celtics/troubling-update-marcus-smarts-eye-infection-overshadows-good-gordon-hayward-news

21-17 C's with 3+ mins remaining in Q1 ...
JT with a nice drive to the rim and uses a hesitation move for the easy finish.
He has 11 now with a steal and a block ... Kemba is ghosted by JT's agression so far ...
