Kemba Walker (neck) probable against Brooklyn By Andrew Doxy

The Boston Celtics will get a tremendous boost to their starting lineup as Kemba Walker is probable to return from a scary neck injury suffered last Friday in Denver.
Semi Ojeleye started in place of Kemba Walker in the one game Walker missed – a one-point win against the Sacramento Kings. Walker is remarkably durable, but given how tough the scene was on Friday when he was still and motionless on the court after his collision with his teammate, it genuinely feels like a miracle that he’s set to take the floor less than a week later. Walker could have even gone last night against the Kings, but he was held out as a precaution. Truly extraordinary, and it’s a sigh of relief for literally every party involved.
Daniel Theis’ illness also kept him out of the win against Sacramento. Enes Kanter got the nod, but against the young, bouncy and mobile Jarrett Allen, it’s unclear if Brad Stevens might elect to go with an equally young, bouncy and mobile commodity in Robert Williams III. Romeo Langford remains out with a right ankle sprain, and Gordon Hayward continues to work his way back after suffering a left hand fracture a few weeks ago.
Kyrie Irving will not suit up for Brooklyn in the first game in Boston this year. The Celtics will take on the Brooklyn Nets tomorrow at 7:00 PM EST on ESPN.

Kemba Walker injury: Celtics star is probable vs. Brooklyn Nets Wednesday nightAPBy John Karalis | JKaralis@masslive.com
The Boston Celtics announced today that Kemba Walker is officially listed as probable to play against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night.
Walker left Friday night’s game against the Denver Nuggets on a stretcher after a head-on collision with teammate Semi Ojeleye.
“When he landed, he basically had numbness and tingling in his hands. You can imagine that kinda gave him a little bit of a shock, he was kinda freaked out by the whole thing a little bit,” team doctor Tony Schena said. “He never lost consciousness. He basically stayed on the floor, mostly as a medical precaution. The medical staff was out there immediately.”
He was quickly cleared by doctors in Denver to return home, and a team of doctors in Boston ran him through a battery of tests.
“When he arrived, we brought him to the Auerbach facility where we did a full evaluation - myself and a spine surgeon, Dr. Eric Carkner from New England Baptist,” Dr. Schena said, adding that a third spine specialist was involved in evaluating the results. “So we had our own radiologist review all the imaging as well. Dr. Carkner did his evaluation separate from us so that way he could do an unbiased exam, and at that point Kemba had no symptoms and he was feeling really well, and he passed the exam.”
The Celtics say Walker never lost consciousness and never suffered a concussion. Nonetheless, the Celtics put Walker through the steps of the league’s concussion protocol to be safe. He cleared the final steps today by participating in a team workout.
The bottom line for Walker, according to the team doctors, is he was lucky to avoid a serious injury.
“Some people have a relatively simple mechanism and they have a bad injury, some people have what looks like is going to be a bad injury and they do quite well,” Dr. Schena said. “Luckily, Kemba was in the second category. He’s done very well. So we’re obviously extremely happy that we’re in this position now that his injury turned out to be not too significant.”
Now that Walker is returning, the Celtics have assigned Tremont Waters to the Maine Red Claws.

How funny would it be if Kemba plays and Kyrie does not.

I'll bet if you look deeply enough you would find that we missed Theiss as much as anybody when he's out

The crazy part about this is that our starters have not been uniform. We've had 9 starters: Tatum, Jaylen, Walker, Hayward, Smart, Theis, Kanter, RWill, Semi

And by the way, the league leader in net rating right now is Tremont Waters. Obviously thats because he's had one game, in which he was +20.

Tremont gets to any spot he wants to on the court. And he's looking to pass first. But his shooting is good enough where defenders cant just sit in the passing lane. Because he has a sweet floater and can hit a 3 off a screen. The floater and 3 pt shooting we havent seen here, but they are a big part of his success in Maine.

5. Boston Celtics Record: 11-4 Week 5 ranking: 2
Could a 2-3 road trip, including a loss to Denver that saw Kemba Walker stretchered off the court, be called a success? The answer is yes. Despite falling out of the top spot in the Eastern Conference, we learned more about this Boston team not in the win over Phoenix but in the two losses -- by a combined seven points -- to the Clippers and Nuggets. The undermanned Celtics continue to show their resilience and toughness as evidenced by the near comeback win (down 20 late in the third quarter) against Denver. -- Marks
This week: SAC, BKN, @bkn, @ny

So which one is fiercy and which one is "Marks"?
Anyone??

Nets can't miss from 3.
They're not going to continue shooting like this in the 2nd half.
Celts will win this one easily.
