Especially since Hayward is clearly not a contributor this year.

Some of your facts are not facts, but, as you say, this is only for basketball.......... really? Elaborate on even ONE point I mentioned that is not a fact? And I didn’t bring politics into the forum Elvis did. Elaborate over in the politics section.... the both of you!

Fierce lets hear it from you since you went missing. Is Kyrie a leader and the leader the C's need? Just curious No, Kyrie is not the leader the Celts need. But Kyrie is one of the players the Celts need to win another championship. You really think Ainge traded for Kyrie because of his leadership skills? Back in 2005, Paul Pierce was in the same boat that Kyrie is on right now. Kyrie can't do it by himself. Celts need Anthony Davis. Paul Pierce would never have won a championship and a Finals MVP trophy if not for KG and Ray. Why do you think the Bucks, Sixers, and Raptors are all adding All-Star players? More star players means more chances of winning a championship. Again, if Ainge had no plans of bringing Kyrie back next season then he would have traded Kyrie at the trade deadline. Not only is Kyrie not the leader the Cs need, he is not a player that the Cs need to win another banner.
At best he is trade bait. At worst, he will be an unhappy max contract player who can't lead and won't follow either.
The Cs may need AD and KI too.
Unfortunately neither AD nor KI need Boston... and they are both making that all too clear.

Stop moving the goal post, chris. Early in the season it was "the ball doesn't move" when Kyrie is playing. When that theory went out the window, it's Kyrie not the leader the Celts need? Right now Kyrie is averaging a career high 6.9 assists per game. Clearly Kyrie has improved his passing game. But he's far from perfect and he's not a leader. That still does not change the fact that the Celts need Kyrie for what he does best and that's scoring. The playoffs is just a month away. I think it's best if we wait and see what happens in the playoffs. Right now this Celts team is a mess. Some of us here kept saying, since October, that this team needs a big man. But Ainge is all in on Anthony Davis. That's why he didn't make a single move at the trade deadline. The message from Ainge to fans is very clear, WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR! sorry but the ball still doesnt move under kyrie. There is a stat back that. The record is not moving forward either.

LA in the WS again this year.... if healthy.

Kyrie is disengaged. This is not good. I think he's very high maintenance. Danny is all in on Davis, but I think the "guys" Kyrie wants gone (Brown and Rozier) better be gone in this deal, or another one. I think he'll sign an one year deal, and he and Davis will leave together. Unless we win the whole thing. I'm no longer trading Tatum for Davis....and,as I said yesterday, Kyrie the GM learned from the best - MEBron!!

I think the only way we can win is with 3 Stars...Davis, Irving are 2 and Horford and Hayward are a 1/2 each. Tatum and Brown continue inconsistent and we still need a big man banger in the post more for rebounds and blocking shots than scoring
Keep in mind that OKC once had Harden, Durant & Westbrook & then only Durant & Westbrook(still formidable) and still couldn’t win. The Warriors were not their downfall at that time…it was the Spurs and their twin towers. I said this in other posts, GS with the best 3 pt shooters still went after Cousins both a scorer and rebounder and are going to add Gortat with whom they won 2 titles. Dominance in rebounds makes up for bad shooting nights.
Bringing up old wounds this, in addition to the egregious 42-18 foul difference, is why we lost game 7 in 2010 vs Lakers as they killed us with reb advantage 53 to 40 ( I mean 13 extra chances) and only shot 38% and we did 42% but the extra chances killed us. Gasol schooled KG out rebounding him 18 to 3.
Beating a dead horse we need a big man or two.
Anyone positive about our game with GS tonight?

"He's never coached a player like me," Irving said. "So, the thing about Brad, of having an established player where I was on the number one team competing against Brad and now I'm on his team and he's putting me in his system. It's like, that's a big transition for anyone to do."
Transition? Brad has no clue on transition . He keeps pushing that Bulter model. Well it's pushing back.

I have to feel positive.
Actually, I agree with Brad Stevens that for some weird reason, the players are in a funk. The Celts can do serious damage if a bulk of their players play well. Hoping that it starts today.

I have air fair and a nice resting place. No thanks. Just got back from lengthy stays in Afghanistan and Africa, both countries of which I entered legally (and would have been imprisoned or worse had I not). You like central America Dee, you stay there. Just have a visa or passport when you return or we may find a nice resting place for you. I have drank enough margaritas and danced with enough Senioritas to last two lifetimes.
P.S. Celtics will surprise tonight. Play well enough to win but drop a close one 118-115.
