Wanamaker has convinced me he's ready for a full time backup when Rozier leaves.

Sweet...another win...take them when I can get them...why the prick coach does not play Williams I do not know...seems he is overwhelmed with talent, veterans and youth...cant decide who his best 3 to 4 are like McHale said he needs to do...pretty easy for me to do that...Tatum, Brown, Williams, Kyrie...fifth would be Baynes......could not give a frickin eff about Morris, Smart, Hayward (sorry), Al (thank you for your efforts), and all the other stringbean supposed centers...
edit...lol, Rozier did not even make the list of who I don't give an eff about...get rid of this guy, he can start in Oklahoma...I think they have a team there...

One of our posters was very luke-warmish about Wannamaker when he first signed/came on board.
Poster was quite familiar with Brad's career in college or overseas and VERY unimpressed.
Anybody remember who that poster was??
I'd like an update.
Brad has bounced around for 8-9 years since college at Pitt.
That's a whole lot of bouncing!!!
This is his first year in the NBA... at 29 years of age.
He surely looked good tonight.

Oh, that was me. Guilty or not? I had watched all of his games, most of them in the stands, while he was playing in Fenerbahce. The reason I was not impressed with him was that he was not using his strength, as he is a very strong player and a good driver to the basket. When he settles for jumpers and 3 pointers, you would see that he is not an average NBA player. In limited time this season he looked more polished, knowing his role. But the jury is still out. Remember that last year in playoff's Rozier was the second coming too.

I thought maybe it was you watching Wanamaker play in Europe.... maybe.
I agree that the jury is still out.
Based on your assessment, I was expecting little to nothing out of Brad... and he keeps surprising me.
I'm pleased that he is surprising you too, at least a little bit.
We can always hope.
BTW... I loved his blind thru the legs feed to Tatum trailing him (See highlights above) that led to the 2Q baseline drive and layin.
WOW!!!

why is it that Hayward plays excellent when Kyrie is out. Am I correct on this one or. Pure coincidence? There was some amazing ball movement last night.

I still hope he does not get any playing time come playoffs regardless, because otherwise would mean either some of our guards is injured, or underperforming. With Kyrie, Rozier, Mahcus and even Hayward, Wanamaker should be the odd man out when rotations get tighter from a playmaking point of view.

Hayward did a lot more attacking the basket last night than his usual catch-and-shoot routine. I think part of it was Cavs were awful defensively all-night. Im not sure if its attributable to KI, because they really dont get that much time on the court together these days anyways.

Now might be the time to flip Rozier considering 1) he just showcased that he can play and 2) Brad seems good in a backup role?

Good game, had it all the way. I think Sexton is really not that good. Perhaps Rozier should start and KI should come off the bench.......LOL

I like Wanamaker better than Larkin. I hope he gets some more time as the season goes on.

I like Wanamaker better than Larkin. I hope he gets some more time as the season goes on. He's better because he's bigger, but there were times when nobody could score and Larkin really sizzled for us. Who knows maybe wannamaker could do that too if he had a chance.
