Jeez, that's an insane stat line. It looks like a marcus smart stat line on one of those rare nights where his shot is really falling.

No Kyrie No Horford No Smart No Theis No Morris
NO PROBLEM
This was possibly our best road win of the year. A quality win vs a great defensive, and very good team. Twice during the game we got behind, and twice Brad went zone. Utah had no answer for the zone either time...THAT, my friends, is superior coaching. Short-handed, on the road, and making all the correct defensive calls at the correct time. Should get serious consideration for COY, but I think it will go to Dwayne Casey, another deserving candidate. Brett Brown also in the mix!

Jaylen Bee hitting his FTs at an 81% clip since 1 February.
That's HUGE!

watched the game on DVR after dinner out with the family...fast forwarded through most of it...down 11 late in the third, laughed and figured we had them right where we wanted them...watched them come back and win a nail biter per usual...well, just like the Patriots this year, you cant always be the comeback kids...gotta win with authority, otherwise the refs will beat you or your luck just runs out...fun to watch though, and nice that they play to the last second and don't give up...

What is additionally remarkable about our team completing a 5 game sweep west without its main star is that this game in Utah, although not a 1 mile high as Denver, was at 4200 ft. We play at sea level in Boston. Didn’t want to be the prophet of doom but I’d been happy enough with 4 out of 5 and was not optimistic about a victory. The Jazz, although the Warriors did not have 3 of their stars, beat GS at home by 19 (110-91).
Thus our conditioning is truly excellent. Brown said he was so happy to make that game winning shot because he and the team were exhausted & he feared performance in OT. Our defense is excellent and key was we held them scoreless last 2.25 min as we went on a 9-0 run. Because we are in very good shape I believe we wear teams down evidenced by so many wins lately in last 1-2 minutes. Yup, would be nice to coast to some victories with a double digit lead but keeping in mind 3 of the wins were against some pretty hot teams, OKC, Portland and Utah, out west. Portland is 18-3 last 21 games and we are one of the 3. They also killed the Warriors last time they played 125-108. But not to worry about needing to play most of our starters at the end to get a victory as most of our usual subs play a lot during the game. And we really have not had one player dominating the scoring. Rozier and Morris both scored over 30 on this trip but the rest it is spread around. In fact last night no one was over 20 until Brown hit the shot and he ended up with 21 and Tatum was 2nd with 16. I don’t have the stats but I am guessing we are pretty close on rebounds but I believe our defense causes more turnovers except last night we had 16 but fortunately they had the same.
Will be a challenge in the 2 games vs Toronto. They and Houston have been the 2 hottest teams lately. We beat them with Irving by only 1 point in October and in the last game they beat us by 20…111-91. Unless someone knocks them off in the playoffs…I hope they need play the Cavs…we need to make a statement in these games that they will not be able to dominate us

Me to.. He's been all against Monroe for years.
I'LL have to see what Monroe wants in dollars before i make any declaration. Larkin will be cheap insurance just like this year.
Brown is going to be better than Tatum despite what folks think.

I've ALWAYS liked Monroe, I said we couldn't afford him, if you recall. If he'll take the MLE, or a little above it, he can stay. If he wants "big" bucks, we have to let him go.

You really need to pay attention. I've been against Monroe at 18 mill. Like you, I want to see his asking price. All I said was, at the right price, I'd like to re-sign him. Always liked the guy, we just couldn't afford him.

I used to like him, but lately was afraid he wouldn't play d. Of course we got him for just his salary so no biggie and he's been better defensively than I expected. And for sure we just needed a competent body.

But that is Brad's magic making it happen. I have noticed that Monroe is no longer pound the ball and grind it in the low post guy. Whatever he is doing, he is doing quick. Have been surprised by how many turnover he is causing with his hands on defense. Work this off season in a quicker mid-range jump shot and he can be really useful. This could go down as another of those masterful Brad Stevens reclamation project.

Is Washington losing to meet us in the first round? I don't think so, Wall is hurt. Secondly, I really don't think anyone wants to play us in the first round.
