cant believe Doc has not been fired and cant believe that they have kept that core of Griffin, DeAndre & Austin. They could have dealt Griffin & DeAndre and acquired some good assets in return. and there's talk that he could be interested in the Bucks job ... rumor, fact or speculation?

Surprised both sides have not moved on. Griffin and DeAndre are losing value as they stay in LA

Dunno the circumstances surrounding Smart's injury to his hand.
If it was a self-inflicted wound because he was pouting over his missed buzzer beater against the Lakers and perhaps being called out afterwards for his poor decision-making.... I'm very glad he missed the shot and had to face the music.
If he had made the shot, he would have learned all the wrong lessons so I'm glad he missed!!!
If this injury was caused by a temper tantrum because things turned out badly two nights ago, I hope that DA will break him of this habit really fast.
I hope that DA learned that lesson dealing with perennial diva, R9R and what a fiasco that became looking the other way instead of confronting his temperamental outbursts .
Every player gets to make one diva-type mistake IMHO.... and this should likely be Smart's mulligan.
Time to grow up kid... and show Beantown fans that you can deal with disappointment and adversity.

Just curious. What's our record when we shoot at least a .333 from the three.? I can look it up later if you don't have a quick answer. Can't find that but in wins we shoot an avg of 37.3% from three and in losses 34.2% I have monthly three pt% Oct 35.1% Nov 37.1% Dec 38.8% Jan 31.4% Jan our worse month for wins vs losses ... Teams played/#gms where we shot less than 34%: Chi 2gms Cle 2gms Gsw 1gm Hou 1gm Lal 2gms Min 1gm Sas 2gms Uth 1gm That's good enough thanks. Just wanted some support that we live and die by the three. After some thought i suppose most teams are in the same boat Anyway.... I'm sounding like a broken record and most here are aware of this already. Big difference in Jan however, Likes? I thought it was an early Valentine Day marketing plan.

Pud R9R? You need to seek some professional help. Massage parlors don't count. Smart is a street fighter coming from the redneck Shenandoah Valley i have seen this many times. Not terribly concerned except for the fact he couldn't show up for work. I would dock his pay and move on.

cant believe Doc has not been fired and cant believe that they have kept that core of Griffin, DeAndre & Austin. They could have dealt Griffin & DeAndre and acquired some good assets in return. I agree about Doc able to keep his job. Hate to bring up old wounds…when we should have had another title and sweeter still against the team with the most after us, the Lakers, whom I have hated for years long before LeBron's dominance over us. I am still lamenting about Game 7 vs Lakers in 2010. I recall a forum then which called the Lakers title a “Tainted Tinseltown Title”. Our coach then, a nice guy but I am not a Doc lover. How he keeps his job is beyond me as he has had some very good talent but, yes, some players have been injured at critical times but just never could bring them a championship…of course, in past 10 years LeBron’s Miami & Cavs have been our main obstacles while Clippers have had the Warriors, Spurs, OKC & Houston, all better than any other of our other East teams, I think. Might have been a Doc lover had we beaten LA in 2010. Yup, I know we lost Perkins in Game 6 and in the finals they got the egregious difference of 42 foul shots to our 18 and just 21 in critical Qtr #4 when we had a 13 pt lead end of Qtr #3. Doc needed to tell both Rashid Wallace and Garnett, both 7 footers when we were losing the rebound advantage substantially, especially in the 4th Qtr. that they needed to be in the post at all times getting rebounds and not shooting 3s as we had PP & Allen do that with Rondo driving to the basket. They killed us with reb advantage 53 to 40 ( I mean 13 extra chances) and only shot 38% and we did 42% but the extra chances killed us. Gasol schooled KG out rebounding him 18 to 3. I wish we had picked up Gasol a couple of years ago. Not soft…always liked him. I mean when Kobe shoots 6 for 24 or 25% and is MVP it was painful. He’d been a goat had they lost.

Rick Carlisle gave your favorite diva one shot and then benched him for the PO's in 2015 and that was that. Off to Sacto.... Bulls...... now Pels. DA should do likewise... and like the Mavs did to R9R, send Smart on his merry way with another infraction. Pud

Does being a terrible offensive player count as an infraction?

Rondo was a great player who became a bad player through injury and attitude. Now he's recovered from his injury and maybe his attitude some and he's at least an average nba pg in the right circumstances.
Smart is a good player who has regressed to below average for whatever reason. He wins on heart and d, not skill. Right now he also needs an attitude adjustment in that his role has to change and I'm not sure he's accepting it. The era of "can marcus become great" has passed us by.
But there are very little comparisons between the two except that neither can shoot. Does anybody here really believe Rozier would have made the shot any better than Smart? Or that if he had gone to the rim we would have gotten a foul call in LA?

Turns out Smart is back in Beantown with lacerations to his hand and his arm in a sling. The injury is to his shooting hand rather than his off hand... Not to fear though. It likely won't effect his "stroke." Pud

I thought the great sideline play maker'' Brad'' would have Irving with the ball or anyone except Smart or Rozier. Neither were a good choice. I just a dumb high Mexicali amigo it's not up to me to question the Gods.

Update on Smart:
Celtics guard Marcus Smart will be out for approximately two weeks after suffering a non-basketball related hand injury during the team’s road trip.
Smart said he hurt his hand by hitting a picture frame on a wall, an injury that led him to miss Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
He returned to Boston, where he was evaluated by Celtics doctors and diagnosed with right hand lacerations.
Smart revealed how he hurt his hand on Twitter, where he apologized to his teammates, coaches and Celtics fans.
“I’m embarrassed and disappointed in my actions,” Smart said. “I swiped at and hit a picture frame on the wall. I feel like I let all y'all down.
“I promise I will learn from this situation and come back better than ever. I love y'all and I truly appreciate all the support.”
The Celtics will play at the Warriors on Saturday night.

They've already said it wasn't the play Brad drew up. They didn't use a timeout, if memory serves. Kyrie said they have specific plays for that situation........"and we went off script."
According to Irving, Smart was supposed to catch the ball and QUICKLY (without dribbling), pass it to Rozier or Kyrie............he did not.
Sorry.....that is NOT on the coach.........period, end of story!!!

Pud here's the deal on Smart ''your man''
The last 5 games he averaging 13.3 pts .453 from the floor and .348 on threes. Almost 5 assist turnovers are up a bit.
My point if he can average these numbers the rest of the season Ainge is gonna keep him and if not some team will offer him at least 12.5. This whole little incident will go away if he performs and some even suggest it was a good thing he turned his game around.
One the other had if he goes back to shooting 30% he gone fron here and will loose at least 10 mil in is next cotract. He does have a family to support.
A lot is riding on his second half performace he's pissed he's not producig like he hoped to. He reportablay spent many hours shooting in the off season and came to camp quicker and it great shape.. He's trying too hard that's why his shot looks too hurried all the time. No offensive composure he's too fired up.
In all fairness i feel bad for Smart . Get my points Pud?
