Nuttin' to it ladies.
The game wasn't as close as the final score would indicate.

Man, we are struggling. There is no reason this game should have been this close.

Tommy is calling out the refs for an abomination and a review by the commissioner ... the best defensive team commits 31 fouls while one of the worse defensive teams only gets called for 16 fouls leading to 38-14 variance in FTs

And side with the refs.

Just finished watching the recording. Quite a game. KI's hero ball almost lost it for us. Then his hero ball brought us back. Then the Indiana brain fart sealed it for us. Thanks Pacers!

That's the NBA. Now is the time of upsets, helping teams sell tickets. We may well play 500 ball till the London break. I'm not going to panic. Were set to go on a run late.
Jaylen better figure something out at the line.
This was the first night I've seen Tatum throw down like an NBA power forward. There's a time for finesse and a time for power.
Rozier had legs at the end. Nice call by Brad to stay with him.

It's been tough watching this kid with the physical attributes that he has, and not trying to do what he did tonight. Specially when you know he can do it, and bring the house down. I understand he's only a 19 year old rookie. It's just tough to watch him lay down to the competition at times cause he's still feeling his way through this league. But I understand... He'll get it.

Almost an atrocity. Almost. But a win is a win. The Pacers, I have been watching, have been playing much better. Great sub by Brad at the end, putting in Rozier. Nice call.

This team lacks depth. We start out oftentimes strong and but cannot sustain it. We cannot sustain it because our starters just cannot keep up that kind of pace. But we cannot sustain it primarily because we have very little coming off the bench.
I like Theis but a stat line like last night of 4 pts, 4 rebs, 4 fouls isn't going to get us much against stiffer competition. Even Marcus Smart finally shot the ball much better but the 7 turnovers and other lazy passes almost killed us. It's like what he gave us he almost equally gave Indiana. The little bench contributions are not going to get us far because we are not going to consistently have 4 starters in double figure points when we're going up against Cleveland.
I don't want to depend on other teams panicking in order for us to win games like last night. And this isn't about Marcus Morris being out either. He'll help but we need much more than him.

Our team does lack depth. Its a very young team. No question about it but its a game of runs too and I never expect the Cs to be able to sustain a large 1st qtr lead. My interest is what happens in the last 5 minutes of a game which is all that really gets my attention anyway. Convenient huh??? Since I rarely watch much more than that. That said, KI tries to do too much when I actually tune into the game.... and that hurts us almost as much as Smart's TOs which bother me not nearly so much since I don't see them. We are deferring way too much when the game is on the line to KI even though others have that killer instinct too, or could develop it. Hayward could certainly help in these circumstances but he is not available at this point. We're not going to win it this year anyhooo... so sit back and enjoy the ride toward serious relevance. Hopefully last night will be huge for TRo's confidence/swag and that could help immensely coming off the bench. Pud

Kyrie is not playing hero ball, he's playing superstar ball, which is what he is! When Hayward is back, and Tatum gets a little more confidence, he won't have to try and do it all himself! Right now he don't have much choice!! Trade Smart and a future pick to the Griz for Tyrike Evans, and our bench scoring problems are solved! Also I think Rozier becomes better if he don't have to worry about Smart!!

Pud, you're right about KI but honestly, we have nobody with the heart to take those big time shots at that point in the game. So, he'll miss some but he'll make many too. I can live with that as frustrating as that is sometimes. I just believe when KI is playing hero ball, eventually, he seems to always nail one.
I think you are also right about the need to enjoy the ride because we aren't winning it this year anyhow.
