Pelicans v Lakers Warriors v Kings Never root for the Fakers, but they get the Nugs if they win. Warriors need two wins to get OKC - great job by them this year, #1 seed! Thanks for updates and opinion!...You are obviously on the edge of your seat about these playoffs!...

Svi Mykhailiuk knew that signing with the Boston Celtics this past summer would result in a reduced role compared to what he experienced in previous seasons. But he also knew that he’d have scattered opportunities to contribute to a contending team’s winning formula, and one of those chances arrived Sunday afternoon while facing off against the Washington Wizards. In resting their top six players for the regular-season finale, the Celtics called on an entirely new starting rotation. Among them was Mykhailiuk, who seized the moment by putting forth one of the best performances of his life. – via NBA.com Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Boston Celtics
The sixth-year wing poured in a career-high-tying 26 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including a career-best 6-of-8 effort from 3-point range. He also dished out a season-high five assists, tied a season-best with five rebounds, and was plus-21 in 37 minutes of a 132-122 Celtics win – their 64th of the season. “I just took what the game gave me,” Mykhailliuk said. “I took some more shots, open shots, made some shots early. I feel like that gave me a little more confidence.” – via NBA.com Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Boston Celtics
“When we asked Svi to come here, one of the things I told him was, ‘It’s going to be inconsistent at times. But because of how we play, we’re going to rely on you guys to win us games, so the things you do daily are important.’ And he bought into that, and that was great … He’s done a lot of great things for us. I love his work ethic on a daily basis, and he helped us win games this year.” Mykhailiuk says that the conversation he had with Mazzulla recurred throughout the campaign. It made him feel better prepared for any chance he was given. “[Mazzulla] mentioned that during the season a lot and it makes you cautious and makes you understand that you actually have to be prepared at any time for whatever happens,” Mykhailiuk said. “We understand that we are one of the best teams in the league and we have really big goals, so for me personally to help the team win, you’ve just always got to be prepared.” – via NBA.com Joe Mazzulla, Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Boston Celtics

Well it was a great regular season! 64 wins, now on to the playoffs! Admin did a great job on the game threads. Cole did his usual masterful job of moderating, and Pud didn't ban me! We're going in healthy, as the number 1 seed! No excuses this year boys! 18 has a nice ring to it!!

You still see him as 1st man out?
Hard to find good wings in the NBA that are affordable and for this day he was better than Hauser. He has better size/strength and is more athletics/mobile than Hauser too.
I wouldn't be so quick to discard him ... especially if another team scoops up Kornet in free agency.

Obviously love Q Kornet is very serviceable PP - love him, will help in the playoffs X man - I feel will be Al's replacement, playing a little more next year, then step right in. Springer? He's a giant muscle. He's 21 years old. A little more O, and he'll be a rotation player. Really like him! Brisset gives us energy and he rebounds!! I'd like to see him back next year Svi has been disappointing, and will probably be gone at years end. As will JD. I believe you can only be on a 2-way for two years....? And who can he supplant on this roster? We control Hauser. Between Peterson and Walsh, he may be the odd man out. I do like him, but after next year, how much will he want? Can Walsh and/or Peterson give us what he gives us? As a coach, I can tell you, this is a NICE problem to have. We have to get White back in the fold. I really enjoyed the game last night. Brad should be the GM of the Red Sox because the guys he picks up at bargain prices can at least play!! I like your analysis of the bench, but do feel Svi is more valuable than you give credit for. he simply is in a situation where other players from his position are playing very well. I also feel this speaks to how well Brad is able to find players that fit this system and blend with the current group.

I would like him back. What I mean is that his contrat is up, and he almost went to Europe last year. Isn't that right? I seem to remember his hesitancy in signing. I don't think WE let him go, I think HE will want to go.............hope that makes sense. And, he "was" a disappointment until yesterday. Let's say it's between him and Hauser next year. We do have a FRDP this year, don't we? Only so many spots, and so much money. Sorry if my post was confusing.

I guess if we win a Championship there could be no reason for him to stay here anymore other than $ and that could be a fallacy given what Euro teams are paying these days. But sans Kornet we'd have 14 on the roster if he did resign leaving #15 for the FRDP.
The player at risk (other than Kornet) would seem to be JD. There was a time when it looked as though Payton was on his way out and JD would be he successor but that no longer applies and if JD can't sign another 2-eay then he will be moved - meaning signed & traded unless the apron rules prevent that. In which case we'll get nothing for him ...

Havent seen a lot of games lately. I replayed a bit of last nights. I love how PP gets us running and every one else follows. If we played that type of ball in the playoffs, I wouldnt see anyone beating us. If we go back into walking the ball down the court, watch out. Miami or whomever we face will have a chance against us. Keep the tempo up, share the ball. No hero BS from either Tatum or JB.

I think it could be Svi or Hauser. BUT, his contract is up, so he'd need to re-sign to compete. Hauser has a TO for next year...........something to think about.
