Play the bench! It wouldn't bother me a bit if the Kings win this game.

With 60 wins and HCA locked up for the entire POs this game has no consequences.
Mazz will continue to try a few new wrinkles or execute on areas of prior weakness and he may even clear the bench come Q4 to avoid any foolish injuries to the top 8 ballers ...
That said, you won't miss my slacking off for the 2nd half as I suck down a Yuengling while watching the potential NBA Champions cruising thru this one and checking in on the Huskies-Hawkeyes NCAA Women's Semifinal ... GO UCONN!

Kings had 2 ORs or 3 shots to score 2pts for the win and couldn't get either of two tip-ins after the Fox missed J ... A C's WIN by default.
Eric Canha-USA TODAY Sports
Sam Hauser, who shot an abhorrent 1-of-18 from the field (and 1-of-13 from deep), fumbled away a floater in the lane with 12 seconds left. Keegan Murray snagged the rebound, but Hauser, fighting off the woes of his disastrous evening, tipped the ball out of his hands.
It found an eager Tillman on the wing, and he drove into the lane, put up a floater, and sunk it.
“It felt good,” Tillman said of his shot, grinning from ear to ear. “As soon as it left my hand, I knew it was good.”
Brown called a timeout, Fox missed a mid-range jumper, and the Celtics fended off a pair of put-back attempts to seal the win. In a game where they led by as many as 19 points, it felt as though they stole a victory.
25-16 Huskies!
Update: Hawkeyes have been scoring 90pts/gm but with 3:14 left in 1st half, Iowa only has 18pts now (28-18 UConn)

Maybe it's me, but it didn't seem like Fox got 40 points.
Hauser STUNK UP THE JOINT!

Fox (4) & Murray (2) went nuts hitting threes midway thru Q3 as C's were testing their zone defense. Shooters shoot! And Fox must have had another 3-4 layups/tips to go w/ a couple 2 ptr Js.

Just saw the highlights.
The good news is, with 7 games remaining we have the luxury of closing with a preseason lineup.
God help us if we ever need to play Tillman and kornet together for real

Hauser, Tatum and Al were a combined 3 for 26 from 3! 1-18 from the floor. I've been concerned about his consistency all year. I probably sound like a broken record, but he almost single-handedly lost the game for us. He was just awful. Tatum and Horford had bad nights from 3 also...........but 1-13 is just atrocious.

I decided to watch UConn and Iowa tonight. That blocking foul call was more than a little iffy!
Exactly what I thought as I watched!
Then it occurred to me ... was the NCAA gonna ruin the finals ($) letting UConn beat the greatest woman baller of all time with 9 seconds left needing just 2pts for the win?
Suddenly it all made sense. And we weren't the only ones:
Boston Celtics reporter melts down over ending to UConn-Iowa: 'One of the worst calls of all time" By Andrew Hughes |
Zach Boyden-Holmes/The Register / USA
Boston Celtics reporter Jared Weiss of The Athletic was raging at the end of the UConn-Iowa women's Final Four game on April 5; an instant classic that, to some, was marred by an overzealous whistle on an off-ball screen from UConn's Aaliyah Edwards on Iowa's Gabbie Marshall.
"Genuinely one of the worst calls of all time there on that UConn illegal screen," Weiss said. "I can’t believe that just happened."
Weiss explained that while the call was likely the right one, the refs almost always swallow the whistle in that moment -- and should have with seconds left in a Final Four game involving one of the all-time greatest college basketball coaches (Geno Auriemma) and the all-time Division I scoring leader (Caitlin Clark).
"Oh it was definitely a moving screen," Weiss prefaced before saying, "But they don’t call those 99% of the game and the context of the play is 1.) it’s the final play and 2.) Iowa switched anyway. The call will be deemed correct and refs will formally say you call every play the same, but that’s not reality."

BTW, we keep reaching our ceiling on storage of attachments and to keep space available for future attachments we have been deleting old & large ones to do so. An alternative is to purchase more storage space and that can be done relatively cheap and easy. If anyone would like to donate a few bucks to the forum this is where you can do so:
We currently have 50MB and each additional 10MB purchased cost $1 (once not monthly) to a max of $10 for an additional 100MB.
A one time $5 donation will double our ability to make and keep attachments (pics, charts, videos, etc).
