The Red Sox have come out of the gate hot!! Yes, despite cheap owners and a lame duck coach, they have surprised so far. I think the RS saw more potential in what they had/have than they were producing the past season or two. they appear to have been correct with numerous pitchers they also appear to be correct with young players Cassas, Duran and Ceddanne in CF. If they are also correct with Teel, Anthony, Marcello and maybe Yorke, and all are in Boston next season, the owners would have to spend to fill in some holes to win a WS. I am ok until all of that comes together, not spending (over spending?) with out the chance of winning.

Our best regular season ever was 1973, when we went 68 and 14! Dave Cowens was league MVP. We still had Tom Sanders, and Havlicek, Jo Jo White, Don Cheney and Paul Westfall. We unfortunately lost to the Knicks in the conference finals 4 games to 3, the Knicks went on to win it all that year! I think we overachieved that year, the Knicks were just better than us! First game I ever went to. Knicks beat us 94-78. Horrible shooting night. Clyde Frazier waved the #1 at us as he was subbed out, and Red Holtzman dropped about 40 F-bombs during the game. I'll never forget it!!

The lineup is fine, but I think we have no future pitchers, except Bello, and, of course, Dick Fitts.........LOL. I can see them trading Kenley soon, his body language and attitude are terrible.

Never got a technical foul called on him, in high school, college, or the NBA.His dad told him to always show respect to the refs!

Just what I was thinking! In this scenario, we would only have to face one of the Bucks, Sixers, or Heat! Unless the Heat somehow overtake the Knicks or Magic for 5th seed! Piece of cake now:

The Bucks could be tanking, trying to stay away from playing the Sixers. Only thing is, the Cavs may be tanking too, for that very same reason! We are definitely in the driver's seat, for now! the Bucks are tanking but are not trying too!

Deferred salary for the next 20 yrs will do that!

Jrue Holiday, to his credit, is only thinking about June. He claims there will be no extra juice or spice if Boston draws Milwaukee in the postseason, where the second-seeded Bucks loom as a potential Eastern Conference finals foe. “I want to beat them,” Holiday told Yahoo Sports, “because I want to win the championship.” – via Yahoo! Sports Top Rumors, Jrue Holiday, Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks
With the Bucks, Holiday was predominantly assigned to opposing lead guards, having to slither his way up and around bruising screeners on possession after possession. With the Celtics, he has guarded everyone from Donovan Mitchell to Julius Randle and Joel Embiid. “Where I came from, we kinda did one or two different things. But here, any type of defense you can think of, we’ve probably done it,” Holiday said. “Just thinking the game, looking at matchups, looking at how we can disrupt teams out of timeouts. Even out-of-bounds plays, [sideline out of bounds], whatever it is. Just trying to look at the game and think it differently.” – via Yahoo! Sports Jrue Holiday, Boston Celtics

Who are we for tonight, Sixers or Heat? I hate them both, but I hope the Heat get the 6 seed.

LThe Kings have only 1 less loss than the Lakers, and have the Celtics,Thunder,Pelicans, and the Suns still to play! Watch those lucky Lakers get out of the play in!

Yeah, but I cant help but think about Blooms first year when he signed guys like Pillar and Moreland and flipped them at the deadline for value. The Royals gave a FA contract to Chapman despite not being a playoff team and ended up flipping him a couple months later for a player who is their ace today. That still bothers me, that we didnt do something of the sort this year. We have all this room under the lux tax. Would have loved to get some vets, artificially inflate their numbers (maybe by platooning or whatever) and try to flip. Maybe eat a mil here and there off contracts to increase the value of the outgoing asset. This is why I still wish they spent more than just 1M for Criswell.

Im the opposite. Today, I have more faith in the SP than in the lineup. Cutter Krawford is a beast and Whit and Hock look great. As does Pivetta.
