So, again, I believe this is accurate. The three teams that would give us the most trouble in a 7 game series would be, in no particular order, MIL, PHI and MIA.
So, correct me if I'm wrong here, but if the playoffs started today, PHI would play MIA. The winner would be the 7 seed, and get to play MIL. Is that correct?
Well, if it is - TWO of those teams will be gone by the time we get them. And our road to the Finals will be beating one of them. I like our chances there!!

Stace: Rajon Rondo officially announces his retirement on @allthesmokeprod
honestly, what a wasted talent and opportunity. those C teams had so much more run in them if only they could have kept it all together. Rondo played the best ball of his career here, and it was all too short

Wow ... dueling Head Coaches past & present Celtics: nice job by Ime. he has that team playing really well at the right time. they could make some noise, and learn how to win playoff games. will be a threat the next few seasons for sure I have been propping Mazz all season. he has pushed the right buttons and has the team rested and ready.

Correct on the winner playing Milwaukee, but we could face the loser as they could be the 8th seed, if they beat the Bulls or Hawks. I think!

Posted on this thread 4/1:
Basketball Reference projects Philly as Boston's most likely first-round opponent as of April 1, and there's a good reason why.
Barring a late surge from the Heat or Sixers or a Pacers slip-up, Miami and Philly are on a collision course to meet in the No. 7 vs. No. 8 play-in tournament matchup, with the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks facing off in the 9-10 matchup.
If the Heat win the 7-8 matchup -- the higher seed would have home court -- the Sixers would just have to beat the winner of Bulls-Hawks at home to land the No. 8 seed and draw the Celtics.
Of course, anything can happen in the play-in tournament; we saw the Hawks upset the Heat in last season's 7-8 matchup, only for Miami to beat the Bulls to secure the No. 8 seed and surge all the way to the NBA Finals.
But both Miami and Philly would be favored over either the Trae Young-less Hawks or Zach LaVine-less Bulls, so if you're playing the odds, the Celtics' most likely playoff opponent is probably the loser of that 7-8 matchup -- which means Jimmy Butler and the Heat or Embiid and the Sixers.

These last 7 games are going to be interesting to everyone but the Celtics. The Pacers and Heat have both lost 33 games. The Pacers play the Thunder and the Heat at home, and the Cavaliers on the road. And the Heat and Pacers have only lost 2 more games than the Knicks and Magic.Nothing has been decided yet! I'd bet big money, that we'll be playing the 6ers, Heat, or Pacers in round 1. I would rather face the Pacers!

Do you Red Sox fans think the Mookie trade ranks right up there with losing the babe?? Worse, I dont care about something that happened 65 yrs before I was born. We gave up an elite player in his prime for reasons that never made sense. And the headliner coming back was Verdublow.

So, lastly, a little clarification:
The 7-8 game winner only has to win one game, and they get the 7 seed? And the 9-10 loser only has to lose once to be out?
Then the 7/8 loser plays the 9/10 winner for the 8 seed?
IF that is the case, then I'd like MIA to overtake IND for the 6 seed, (currently 1/2 game difference), and IND and PHI can battle it out.
