It is NOTSmart that should not be out there. The "closing" lineup needs to be Brogdon, White, Brown, Tatum and Horford. That team can score, defend, and not make STUPID decisions like trying to steal a ball from a guy at half court, with your team in the penalty and a one point lead.......... For Petey - Jeff Green was not this stupid!!! LOL Well, Hedley, since neither Brown nor Tatum can pull thier heads out of their arses at crunch time, Smart is the guy...the veteran presence that does whatever he can even if he can not...he at least will try...otherwise, Brown drives and loses the ball or Tatum dribbles down the clock and shoots a lame ass 3...pick your poison...I like Smart, because he is playing beyond his capabilities as opposed to playing under like Brown and Tatum...he believes in himself, and knows they don't...Smart is not going to wait around waiting for these dickheads to figure out what to do... Just like Pierce...never was great but believed he was!...which in the end made him great!...a legend...for freaking ever...

What you guys think, this goes 7 games or not?
I think Cs and Tatum bounce back and win Game 6.

Just read in the comments on an article about the blown Bruins's game last night, by a greivous goalie mistake in OT, that the happiest person in Boston right now is Marcus Smart...ouch...

White is our third best player, Horford has more experience than any of them, and Brogdon doesn't make mistakes. NOTSmart set a moving screen, then fouled their best player, with them in the bonus, all in the last minute. He sucked and needs to be called out for it. Plently of blame to go around, Mazz, Tatum.....as I said. But NOTSmart's plays were just dumb at the wrong time. He needs to be on the bench at the end of games.

I think Ime is a terrible coach who got lucky last year. Do you remember our rotations? The biggest mistake Mazz made was not playing DWhite enough. If we had Ime, White would have gotten even LESS minutes - because Ime just loves the giant lineups. Jaylen is not a guard, and we are a much better team when hes playing forward like he should be. Ime almost gave the series to the Heat last year, because he just refused to play more than 1 ball handler at a time (was too in love with seeing how many Centers he could play at a given time) Agreed that sometimes Mazz looks raw, and has made mistakes. But Ime (my opinion) was fools gold. My opinion was that he got lucky. Remember when it leaked the kind of stuff he was saying in the huddle "guys, dont play like assholes". Thats obviously not a thinking coach. Honestly - I think hes an idiot. Mazz : C- Ime: F Respectably.. Don't plan a career in sales. Two points you avoided that nolle prossed your argument..We have a lot more talant this year than with IME with Brodgon who would be a starter on 90% of NBA teams. Tatum Brown White and Smart have much more playoff experience after making it to the finals last year thus we should expect less mistakes more maturity and consistancy.. And your quarterly bonus is nil...... Celtics’ Jayson Tatum calls Ime Udoka ‘my favorite coach I’ve ever had. Star forward Jaylen Brown had plenty of praise for his head coach Ime Udoka as well. Happy for him,” Smart said. “He’s a great coach. Obviously we wish he could’ve been here with us, but we understand the business side of everything and everything that happened. So it’s just good to see him back out there getting at least another opportunity to show his wisdom and what he has to bring to the game.” His views on the game defensively -- him and I spent a lot of time talking about defense and coverages and things that I feel like worked and he feels that worked," Horford said of Udoka. Good rebuttal, here's what I especially like: 1. From your post, Im inferring a nod towards the always present "other variables". I agree with this, Joe vs Ime is likely never to be settled. If we win this year, I dont think that proves anything in this regard because , as you point out, other variables have changed such as more playoff experience, the existence of Brogdon on the team...Output is only one way to measure input, and it can be flawed. For example there have been greats to never win a championship, and it would be incorrect to always blame the individual. Its possible there was nothing wrong with the championshipless players work ethic, talent. It could be just bad luck with non-controllable external variables (e.g. playing when Jordan did). 2. I also like your nod to fluidity. As Ive mentioned - the double big annoys me way less when we are shorthanded. Right now, I think our lineup is best when 2 of Smart, Brogdon, White are in; along with the J's; + 1 Center (preferably Horford for me these days). But my point is , what if for any reason - White, Smart, Brog are not available. Wanting to have 2 of Smart, Brog, Pritch (lets say White is unavailable) is not the same as wanting to have 2 of White, Smart, Brog - and it may make sense to run some double big when one of the aforementioned 3 isnt available. And as you point out Brog wasnt here last year, so its safe to say the guard rotation wasnt as deep, and maybe part of the reason we ran the double big so much last year was due to the roster. While I like running 2 true guards, if you only have 1 quality guard, and 3 quality forwards - then it may make sense to deviate from ideal and run the 3 fwds with a guard (and a C) - I think they call that "playing the hand your dealt" Ultimately - however, I do feel like Ime had opportunities to try lineups that did not feature double big , and ultimately he kept running back to it. Especially after the team turned a corner and we found success with it. But I felt like, at least past a point, last season - where Ime married himself to his double big. And unlike his other marriage, he just wouldnt cheat on his marriage to the 2x Centers. I honestly felt the Heat were going to beat us. Had us on the ropes. Because we used JB as our second guard, which forces him to be your second ballhandler, and smaller / quicker guys like Oladipo were picking his pocket. Also against GS, we got smoked in transition and struggled to defend the 3 pt line (2 signs that our roster wasnt able to keep up with oppositions quickness). I feel like we were ill prepared to sacrifice some size for quickness against GS and part of the problem was Imes year long use of the double big as opposed to using and developing a comfort with other constructions. I think there is room for Cab to be right about Ime vs Mazz. How he likes Ime because he felt Ime had better control of his players, more discipline. Not saying hes right or wrong, but even if he's right and Ime was better in this respect - personally, I like a coach who is willing to read/react. Always questioning what he knows and what he's doing. Remaining open minded. So I didnt like Ime's stick-with-it-ness regarding the double big come hell or high water. I wanted less rigidity there (lineup construction) - so I dont miss him. But Im not necessarily rooting against him. Just dont want him as my teams coach.

One positive under Mazzula this season was that after most of the loses, C's came out big. It was just a few occasions that we had losing streaks. This is yet another tale of stars that will never get it. I am talking about Tatum. When in the world is he going to learn that he needs to be aggressive on a daily basis? I have given up on that. Some still actually think that Tatum is 19. If this and many other things had yet to sink in, chances are he is never going to get it.he will be yet another star that needs a crutch better than him to be able to make it.

We have no excuses for not raising a banner this year. Mil is out Embidd is hurt and the West isn't all that strong this year It's do or die for Mazz we have the most talanted team .. Physically at least... Mentally i'm not so sure.
