I don't like Big Al taking side step and step back threes...

C's implode trying to force Jayson to actually produce anything. pounded the air out the ball...wasted several seconds on those possessions.

Celtics lineup change (Al Horford, Sam Hauser, Jayson Tatum, Derrick White, Marcus Smart)
Maxey stepped on line on the inbounds ... C's ball!
Hauser misses a 3
Al fouls Embiid ... makes 2-2
Smart a layup with 5 ticks left +1 but misses the +1 on purpose and gets the OR to White ...
White makes a 3 ... 103-101
Sixers ball with 2 ticks ... OF on Embiid vs Grant on the inbounds with 1.9 ticks
C's can tie it and have a time out to advance the ball!

JT turnaround won't drop (back rimmed) ... Sixers win but look awfully dumb down the stretch on the closeout.

I watched the reply of last night's game and, for the life of me, I just don't get Jayson Tatum. He is the absolute most talented and skilled player on the court, yet finds ways to repeatedly negate the massive advantage he has on others.
What causes a player, who is supremely more talented and skilled, to allow himself to be "average"? What is it within this guy that makes him satisfied with being mediocre. He should NEVER be mediocre unless he CHOOSES to be.
I don't do "moral victories". When you are better, regardless of who is playing, you should win. As Jayson Tatum goes, so do the Celtics and it blows my mind how this guy's "dominate" mentality fluctuates form game to game.
This cannot be dismissed as he's young. He's been to conference and NBA Finals throughout his NBA career so it cannot be that. Tatum is a chiseled, young veteran. Do we really believe he will develop a mentality to "dominate every time he steps on the court"?

Not as much as I believe that Jaylen has that mentality to dominate/win. I'm just falling out of love with JB's "Irving Mentality."
