Will this change his mind?
The NBA and NBPA have agreed to increase the upper limits on extensions from a 120% increase on a current deal to 140%, which could have a significant impact on the futures of stars like Celtics forward Jaylen Brown. Under the current rules, Brown would be allowed to sign a four-year extension worth $165 million. With the extension rules increased to 140%, however, Brown — who is set to earn $31.8 million in the 2023-24 season, the final year of his current contract — would be able to reach his four-year maximum of $189 million, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks. – via Adrian Wojnarowski @ ESPN CBA, CBA Talks, Free Agency, Salaries, Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics
There is an increase in two-way contract slots, jumping from two to three per team. Two-way contracts were created in the 2017 collective bargaining agreement as a vehicle for teams to develop younger players. It has been seen as a success, as it’s become a route to players earning long-term homes in the league, and in several cases becoming major contributors. – via Adrian Wojnarowski @ ESPN CBA, CBA Talks, Salaries, Two-Way Contracts

Brown has virtually no incentive to sign this summer without the supermax, as even with the increase to 140 percent, he would be eligible for a similarly structured extension from Boston regardless of award status when he reaches unrestricted free agency in the summer of 2024. All of which means the Celtics need to hope Brown lands one of 15 All-NBA berths this summer to entice an extension. Boston would still be well positioned to retain him over rivals, but an early extension would eliminate a storyline that would linger throughout the 2023-24 season. – via Chris Forsberg @ NBC Sports Free Agency, Jaylen Brown, Boston Celtics
Admin Comment:
Forsberg added this: Brown, who is set to earn $ 30.7 million in the final year of his current extension, would now be eligible for a four-year, $ 190 million extension with a first-year salary of $ 43 million.
While $ 25 million richer than what Boston could have previously offered, the contract is still a far cry from the 5-year, $ 290 million supermax that Brown would be eligible for if he were to earn All-NBA.

Response to Admin, not me.....lol: I think he'll make 1 of the 3 teams. Offer him a supermax with a no trade clause. Yes - great. No - trade his ass

This sixers/bucks game is going to tell us a lot about how the season will go.
If the Bucks win we are basically locked into 2 slot and all 3 teams will start resting
If the sixers win its a dogfight still to the end

E answered the Cypress question a week ago... "Cypress is in northern Orange County, I live in Del Mar."
I know because I googled Cypress to find it on the map, just south of LA.
Del Mar is about 85 miles away, just north of San Diego.
I LUV google maps!

Sorry, but no...not sure where Cypress is, and was born in Boston at St. Margaretts hospital and lived in Framingham for 2 years before going overseas...came back for two years of high school, then left and finished up my last two years of college there...also don't know where Melrose is... Blew a good shot with a tough gal from Duxbury, and another, a sweet prima donna from Newport or something like that...hooked up with a hippie and headed west and never looked back...best decision I ever made...well, perhaps... Except she kicked me to the curb...which turned out to be the best decision I never made...learned to snowboard and surf until the kids decided to move in with me...Then I became shuttle bus dude after work, big van, no seat belts, all the kids from the neighborhood, couldn't do that these days...sorta fun...
