There are always multiple reasons why teams lose. Coaches make themselves nuts thinking what they could have done better. I hope Joe plays it over and over and loses sleep. HOWEVER, someone who wants to make 20 mill per year should make at least one of those FT's. He's lost a lot of his swagger, and is almost out of the rotation. Hopefully he comes up big in the playoffs. But that one was there for all to see, and while not THE reason we lost, blowing leads late in games is the main reason, it was certainly the most visible one. I hope he loses sleep as well.

It's hard to have confidence in Mazz when the worst shooter on the team takes more 3 point shots than anyone else on the team! smart took 11 last night, hard to overcome such a sad performance!!

Can you cut the mustard? Stevens couldn't .
It once seemed as if Brad Stevens was destined to be head coach of the Boston Celtics for multiple decades. Oh, how things change in a few years.
“Stevens has been described as worn down with coaching since Wojnarowski tweeted, “and welcomed the chance to make the transition to the front office,
We expect a 34 year old who's resume reads.
2011-2013 Glenville State (assistant) 2013–2016 Fairmont State (assistant) 2016–2017 Maine Red Claws (assistant) 2017–2019 Fairmont State

How easy it is to pick apart games:
We were 14-21 from the FT line, which is horrendous They were 20-25 -80%
We shoot 80% from the line in that game, we win in regulation

While fans and analysts alike are starting to worry about the impact of the 3-point fetishized style of play coming to be known as Mazzullaball, the head coach of the Boston Celtics from whom that name derives (Joe Mazzulla) is not especially concerned about it potentially being a part of the cause of several recent, avoidable losses.
“The only thing you can control is to try to win the games,” he explained. “We put ourselves in the best possible chance to win but (I have) zero concerns (about how the team has struggled against tougher ball clubs in recent games).
Nothing to be concerned about? Ok sure

Mazzulla is delusional. He is well over his head. "The only thing you can control is to try to win the game"? That's his quote?
You can control that by PLAYING THE RIGHT WAY. You can control HOW YOU TRY to win games. One game we attempt 29 3-pointers (vs BKN), then come back and attempt 59 3-pointers (vs NYK). That doesn't make sense. Up 28 against BKN and guys are launching 3-pointers with 16 on the shot clock.
For Mazz to say he has zero concerns is a problem. He's either stupid or just too stubborn to admit there is a problem.
The difference between this and last season is that Ime had a rough start but stuck to his beliefs and eventually turned our season around. That's very different from having a table that is set and you start out 35 - 12, only to experience total collapses. With this team at season's start, Mazz should not have this team experiencing these consistent collapses. Ime turned things around. Whatever Mazz is doing is causing us to sink.

I thought you would at least link the interview before the trade deadline where Wyc said the same thing. Someone that needs to keep repeating they are not cheap..well...you know. anyhow, they left how many TPE's on the table this season? and that DPE has not been used last time I checked either. NONE of those involved a free agent having to "want" to come here, they could have all been used in trades. Glad they went the cheaper route and got Muscala than some of the other big men that got moved. And I sure am glad they didn't use all the DPE (3.2M) to get a buy out wing here. I mean why have real NBA depth on your team? not when you can count your penny's instead.

Bosses give orders. Stevens runs the show and Maz is told who to play and what to say. He's just a puppet. I almost feel sorry for him. WYC is also responsible . Stevens has that long guaranteed fat contract that WYC has little choice but to pay and pay.. When WYC said all in.. He meant Stevens was ''all in'' his pocket.

We started the season hot because we were still riding on what fuel Ime gave them. Now that has worn off and we are back to pre- Ime days. If we snap out of it it will be because of the players, not Mazz. imo

Well, well, well, Marcus has now taken enough shots to qualify for all time field goal %! Out of 892 players, his 36.8 % puts him at 871 on the list!! On the bright side, there's 21 guys who actually shot worse!!

Moot point His assists average was 7.1 at one time which was half decent sense he's not a real PG.. Last 10 games its 4.1. Now he's not a distributor or a shooter and he's too slow to guard the quick PGs in the NBA..

When the season began, Grant Williams had turned down an extension offer and was flexing his newfound ability to attack closeouts with creativity. He was in the best groove of his career, looking like a flush market was waiting for him in free agency. But things have gone south since, coincidentally timed with a report Williams is seeking up to $20 million annually, per Marc Stein. That figure is considered premature and a target number has not been established internally yet as he has focused on the season, league sources with knowledge of Williams’ thinking told The Athletic. Williams’ representatives and the team discussed an extension before the season that could have reached the low-$50 million range over four seasons but could not agree on the guarantee structure, league sources with knowledge of the negotiations said. – via Jared Weiss @ The Athletic Top Rumors, Free Agency, Grant Williams, Boston Celtics
Since he first donned a sleeve against Memphis on Feb. 12, Grant Williams has been struggling with a ligament strain in his shooting elbow exacerbated by inflammation in the surrounding muscle, league sources with knowledge of the situation told The Athletic. They were granted anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record. – via Jared Weiss @ The Athletic Injuries, Grant Williams, Boston Celtics
Williams had to stop lifting heavy weights for several weeks, though he returned to his normal routine before re-aggravating the injury in practice before Sunday’s double-overtime loss to the Knicks in which he played 45 minutes. According to those sources, throughout this injury, Williams has experienced discomfort turning or grabbing with his right hand. – via Jared Weiss @ The Athletic Injuries, Grant Williams, Boston Celtics
