Short arms? He has the same wingspan as Vanderbilt at 7'1" yet a few inches taller at 6'10" and 240 lbs!
I didnt write it lol
Who did ... is there a link?
I mean Muscala's not a game changer but he is serviceable and could fit here better than he did in OKC. I don't see him as a backup to Rob as much as Al though ... we could still use a center that you approve rather than "drop back" and another shooter/wing.

hardwoodhoudini.com/2023/02/09/boston-celtics-trade-mike-muscala-steal/
The Boston Celtics solved one of their problems but still need wing helpWith the injury to Jaylen Brown, the C’s trade deadline plan figures to have been altered somewhat. Evidently, Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens wasn’t letting the team’s pivot problem persist, but he still needs to add talent on the wing to account for the team’s shortcomings. Sam Hauser is a fine backup and spot starter whose shot has returned (9/13 over last two games), but other teams are making win-now moves so keeping up in the standings may require a higher caliber two-way forward than Hauser. With the Bucks landing Jae Crowder for five second-round picks, the Celtics’ top competition may have gotten significantly better should the former Boston wing wind up being a good fit in Milwaukee. Other east contenders could follow suit by the time the day is done. The Celtics have solved one of their problems, but hopefully their day isn’t done.Comment: Royce O'Neale anyone?
RUMOR: The Celtics are reportedly interesting in Raptors wing Jae-Sean Tate

Making sense of Muscala trade: Why Celtics dealt picks, Jackson for Thunder center By Brian Robb | brobb@masslive.comMuscala is under control for one more season: He makes a modest $3.5 million which fits into the Celtics’ $5.9 million trade exception that expired today (Boston still has $2.4 million left of it). Even more importantly, Muscala also has a modest $3.5 million club option for next season which allows the Celtics maximum flexibility for next year. If he’s a great fit, the team can bring him back at a reasonable price. If not, they can elect to go the free agency route and decline his offer instead of paying a bit more than the league minimum. That value and flexibility likely led Brad Stevens to sweeten the deal with a pair of second-round picks to land the depth piece. An appealing alternative to Luke Kornet: The 7-foot-2 center has fared well in a reserve role for much of the year but his lack of reliable shooting from the perimeter can be limiting at times for a Celtics offense that likes to space the floor. Muscala opens the door for that type of perimeter threat as he’s knocking down 39 percent of his 3s this year and 37.9 percent in his career on high volume for his minutes played. The Celtics are better off being able to play multiple styles in the regular season with their varied personnel and Muscala allows them to do just that on nights that Al Horford is out with a more reliable shooter than Blake Griffin. Addition without subtraction: Brad Stevens has talked plenty about wanting to add to this team without taking away from the core. With hours remaining to go at the trade deadline, he threads the needle well with this deal. Justin Jackson is clearly a non-factor with this group as a 14th man and keeping Payton Pritchard around (for guard depth) was always more appealing than using him for a big since his absence would have created another hole in the depth chart. Either way, Boston helps themselves here with a Muscala insurance policy without hurting their current on-court product. Any deal like that is always a win on paper for a contender if it costs minimal draft compensation. What now? The Celtics no longer have their large TPE in use but they still have the contract of Danilo Gallinari to use in potential swaps along with younger trade chips. Boston also has a hole on the wing depth chart with Jackson out and Jaylen Brown sidelined for a few days. Whether it’s the trade market or the buyout market, I expect the Celtics to stay active in the days to come to put the finishing touches on the roster.

hoopshype.com/mike-muscala-scouting-report/Dont mean to imply this is correct in any way. Just found the blurb and shared it. I agree hes not a trex arms guy and I think hes a better shooter than this scouting report gives him credit for. But heres the link. Just proving it wasnt my words. Not sure what you mean by: "I don't see him as a backup to Rob as much as Al though"

www.celticsblog.com/2023/2/9/23592745/celtics-trade-for-thunder-big-man-mike-muscala ... the Celtics absorb Mike Muscala’s cap hit of $3.5 Million into the Dennis Schroder TPE of $5.89 Million, which was set to expire today after the 3PM EST trade deadline passes. After moving on from Justin Jackson, Boston will still have another open roster spot, as they dealt Noah Vonleh earlier in the season to the San Antonio Spurs in a salary dump trade. Boston still has some more moves to make, and if they do not move on from Danilo Gallinari, the team will have the Disabled Player Exception of $3.23 Million to offer any player that may hit the buyout market as trades come to a close. Boston has previously been linked to Will Barton, if he can secure a buyout with the Washington Wizards.

If we go Al/Mike at PF and Rob/Luke (or to be acquired C if you think we're getting another C). That leaves 3 positions (144 minutes) for : Smart, White, Brog, Brown, Tatum, Grant I dont see the minutes working out. I dont think Grants minutes are going to 0. Come playoffs, Brown and Tatum are getting 39 each. So to round, lets say thats 80, down to 64 (from 144) for Smart, White, Brog, Grant. Thats 16 minutes a game on average. In actuality, Smart will get close to 30. So now we're down to 34 mins for White, Brog, Grant. In the short term, sure. Plug him wherever - we have a few injuries and need bodies right now. But come playoffs - Ill be rip roaring mad if Brog is getting under 25 mins, DWhite is getting under 28. I think Mike is mostly for depth and short term fill in as we try to get healthy for hte playoff push.

OK ... here it is ... GSW loading up picks for something bigger ... maybe Anunoby is a target
The Pistons will acquire James Wiseman from the Warriors in a three-team trade that will send Saddiq Bey to the Hawks, tweets ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Golden State will get five second-round picks from Atlanta in the deal, Wojnarowski adds (Twitter link).
Detroit needs to send out another $2.5MM to match salaries, so at least one more player will be involved in the deal, tweets Yossi Gozlan of Hoops Hype.
Edit: Kevin Knox was the player added to match contracts

Eric Gordon To Clippers, Luke Kennard To Grizzlies In Three-Team Trade by Luke Adams
The Clippers have reached an agreement to acquire veteran wing Eric Gordon from the Rockets, sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link).
According to Charania, the move will be part of a three-team deal that sends Luke Kennard to the Grizzlies, with Clippers guard John Wall headed back to Houston (Twitter links). The Rockets plan to waive Wall, tweets Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report.
Danny Green will be sent from Memphis to Houston in the trade, according to Wojnarowski, who reports (via Twitter) that the Clippers are getting three second-round picks from the Grizzlies. The Rockets will also acquire the right to swap this year’s Bucks first-round pick with the Clippers’ first-rounder, tweets Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
