remind me to never let you have my credit card!! YIKKKS! too bad about Barton, he would have been nice get here...oh well. Not much likely happening anyway I suppose.
You don't have to use the entire $17mm TPE to trade for any of those players except for maybe Markkanen. Using up to $6.3mm for either Hartenstein or Claxton would be an affordable replacement for Theis as a 3rd C.
And if you haven't noticed, Murray is now a Hawk so options are falling off the board before Free Agency even opens. Ownership said they'll pay the tax to remain in the hunt and the new apron is $150mm.
Only mistake I see (but fixed) is listing Gallo as a VM instead of a TPMLE candidate if the Hawks opt out on him today. But if we were able to get him for the VM you should be begging me to take your CC!
a couple of notes here. Hartenstein and Claxton are both Free agents meaning a sign and trade would be required to use a TPE to bring them in. Boston will NOT be doing any sign and trades to trigger the hard cap apron this year. Boston COULD sign either player using the tax paying MLE or vet minimum deals however. Gallinaro is fine at vet minimum, but I don't care much for his game myself and think he is almost washed now. I also don't see his fit in Udoka's defense. Which is maybe the main thing a lot of fans don't consider. Theis couldn't seem to get on the floor under Udoka this year , even though he was once the Euro-league Defensive player of the year! Hard to se Gallo doing much but sitting on the bench and collecting a check if he comes here. But who knows I guess. finally my credit card quip was for fun as the way I read your original post was you were using 11-17M of the Fournier TPE and the TX-MLE and maybe even one of the smaller TPE's ( $6-7M) to ad talent. I am all for it myself! maybe I should have said the owners may want to hide their wallets from you instead......LOL. Justin Holiday or someone like that will seem like a big letdown to many fans I guess.

LAC is capped at how much they can offer Hartenstein which means he could be acquired with the MLE unless another team was able to offer more for a backup C. Nets can probably offer Claxton more than MLE but I haven't checked to be sure. If so, Hartenstein is more likely over Claxton to be targeted should they decide to move Theis. I like Theis but as you have said, if Ime won't use him then lose him.
That brings me to Gallo. He'd be that safety valve for Tatum & Brown posted up on the perimeter to hit threes that Smart was unable to do consistently vs GSW. He'd also be a shooter off the bench for 2nd team. Yeah, long in tooth and a defensive liability but picked up off waivers for one of our smaller TPEs makes him a no brainer given our cap situation.
You'll still have the $17mm TPE after those two moves for one of those listed guys we have posted (Huerter/Kuzma/Markkanen/Brooks?) and a few more TPEs and the VM for $2mm guys as vets (shooters/scorers) off the bench. Theis's contract is around $8mm and he could be traded for someone like Cam Johnson ($5.9mm) or LAC who will need to replace Hartenstein ... could Theis be flipped for Batum?
I see plenty of potential moves Brad can make with an open wallet so I'm much more positive than you seem to be ...

sports.yahoo.com/report-p-j-tucker-sign-034510175.htmlHarden opting OUT has allowed them to use the full MLE for Tucker. Harden will take less next year on his new deal than he was scheduled to earn to keep them under the hard cap apron. But they still need to drop one more player It looks like to fill out the roster. they will be at about $113M in salary with Tucker being the 13th player. They have about $44M to bring back Harden and sign one more player without moves. Might be able to add Korkmaz or Thybulle to the list of payers who can be had for future draft capital now. Not sure either one would be on Stevens radar or not, but Korkmaz has some shot making ability for around $5M.

It's getting real now. Durant has "requested" a trade. PHO and MIA are the places he's prefer. I really don't get why guys can't live up to a contract they signed. He has a max, 4 year deal. But, as we've learned, KD is a beta, and needs Chris Paul or Jimmy Butler, or Steph Curry to win anything.

Brad was hot for Beasley awhile ago ... now that Beasley is in UTAH with Ainge I wonder if Brad still wants him. A TPE could get it done for a draft pick if Danny has no real need to keep Beasley. He may even do PP for Beasley ...
