Bradley "could" give us 20, or he could give us 0. He played great defense always, and was a valuable player. Just like White

IMO: I can tolerate a poor shooting night by anyone, even our so-called "Superstar" but it's the turnovers that I blame for the loss on Saturday. It's incomprehensible to watch two star players be so careless with the basketball (that is so valuable on every possession) that they commit 13 TOVs between them!
Sure more points from White, Theis, Pritchard, Grant and even Tatum could have been the difference but these guys have been anything but consistent so we must live with that for now. But sloppiness, and low IQ play should not be tolerated by the coaching staff or the fans ... these guys have had plenty of experience in playoff games and if they don't know how difficult it is to advance in the playoffs and that taking care of the ball is number one then they haven't learned a DAMN thing the last 5 years and never will!

I despise this Heat team. Maybe because they all have such jerk attitudes or because they have our number? Dont know. But I knew this was going to be our biggest test. I think is a matchup thing. GSW does not pose as much threat to US as the heat. We will see what happens. We have to stick to simple non convoluted ball. I hope it sinks in with all in particular with JB! You are wacked...would take a miracle to beat the Warriors...basketball is about offense and we dont have much...Heat should be down 3-0...

We have the guys to guard the currys and the pooles and klay. All you need. I think our recent record is proof of that

This entire post is nothing but opinion, your opinion. Why can't others express their thoughts (opinions) as you've done here? Tatum HAS NOT cost the Celtics games. Tatum has not costs the Celtics ONE playoff game. How is Tatum supposed to dominate and score 30 every night when teams constantly double and triple team him? If Tatum has a bad night, we should not throw our hands up and expect defeat. The Celtics got the lead down to ONE POINT, so is it Tatum's fault we still eventually loss the game? Here is a FACT......when Tatum has an unproductive night (he stunk up the joint on Saturday), the Celtics depend on players other than Brown to step up their games and contribute to winning. Horford stepped up with 20 points, Smart scored 16 in spite of getting hurt, Rob Williams was out, and Grant Williams chipped in with 10 points. We got very little from Theis, PP and White. However, PP has been a decent contributor in this series scoring 31 points in the 3 games. Fact: if we're only playing 7 or 8, in order to win, we need contributions from the players in the 7th and 8th spots. This series, we've gotten NOTHING from Theis and White and that contributes to us losing just as much as Tatum having a bad night. But their underperformance isn't why we lost games nor has Tatum's underperformance. They ALL need to perform together, as a team to win, which isn't happening. Lets see.... 3 for 14 from the field, 1 for 7 from downtown, 6 boards, 4 dimes, 6 TO's and 10 total points on Saturday.
Those are Marcus Smart type numbers and posters would have been calling for his head if in reality Smart had that sort of game in a losing effort.
That those numbers belong to league superstar Jayson Tatum instead is far more problematic, particularly the 1 for 7 treys and the 6 TO's.
JT was clearly not taking what the Heat defense was giving him and as a superstar, he must take ownership for that.
Given the caveat that I am surely the least knowledgeable of the regular posters, my opinion is that whoever owned those stats cost the Cs this game.
It just so turns out that that player on that night was JT
Tonight will hopefully be another story.
Pud
Despite those numbers, we were one point down in the 4th quarter. One point. His horrible performance didn't cost us the game - it contributed. The steals didn't cost us the game - it heavily contributed. Brown's 4th quarter turnover didn't cost us the game - they contributed to it. When Tatum is double and triple teamed, while still having PJ Tucker draped over him all game, and while sustaining a stinger during the game, I'm going to give him a bit of a break. We lost game 3 for a number of reasons having nothing to do with Tatum's lack of offense.
