i am a fan of morgan but he is very undersized. a 6-6or 6-7 PF type. Horford and Theis will have to hold the center spot the ret of this season, IMO. Not sure if there are better options on the street now at center or PF to be honest. WCS has had some issues in recent years it seems. No more two bigs I guess....Nesmith, Stauskas and/or Hauser best put on their big big pants, I think one or more may be needed for rotational minutes the rest of the way. does Hauser misses? He is for reals

I too would start Thies, but, if you think about it, GWill deserves it more. White, Theis, PP and Nesmith off the bench until the TimeLord gets back. Again, all in favor of resting our starters, but hopefully he's not hurt too badly.

I've had this injury. It's better than an ACL. The reports are odd because my surgeon zeroed right in on the meniscus and confirmed it with the MRI. Different diagnoses. After the surgery it felt good to go, until you over do it and swells up like a balloon. The hardest part for me was waiting until it really was healed.

They will likely think long term here, as they should. unless they are in the finals and everything looks good that is, that's the only way I could see him on the floor the rest of this season.

Wow, just what this team needed. I think RWill is done for the season. Seems this guy just cannot stay healthy. It's never a surprise when he's OUT due to injuries.
But this one is gonna hurt. Watching Theis commit foul after foul leaves me no confidence in what we have in Al and Theis. And to think Horford was already OUT.
I love Rwill but if he cannot stay healthy, we just need to go get an every day player who can. Horford and Theis just won't cut it. And GWill is just too small.

I am surprised he lasted as long as he did. The good news is that Bos is used to playing this lineup of theis and horford. They have been together before. But yea, we need a reliable center

But yea, we need a reliable center I'm surprised too. He played in 61 games with 61 starts, the most he's ever played in a season. I just hope this isn't what we get from him next season and beyond. It's obvious he will forever have to manage knee issues. At this point, I believe the Celtics are entering the "win" window (unlike the shorter "win-now" window of more star-studded veteran teams like GSW and BKN). We need to contend every year with the intent of making and "winning" the Finals. Other than Simmons joining BKN next year, we're seeing the strength of the East and with some well-thought out additions, we can contend for years to come.

Not sure how they do this after signing Morgan unless they get another slot/$ from NBA for the injury but I think it's too late in the season for those exceptions. Injured player must be done for season ... and it's too late to qualify.
Teams have until March 3 to apply for a disabled player exception and until April 19 to actually use them.

Eager to see what Ime can do during adversity specially in the center department and how we can achieve similar defensive results. How much can he pushed kornet or juwan to give us some sort of numbers in the defensive side.

Same source as the "torn acl" tweet. His sources seem to be partially correct ... acl vs meniscus ... I'm not clear how we make room for Freedom w/o someone else's contract being replaced ... that could be Thomas (2-way) who may have sustained a broken nose the other night when Ryan hit him in the face. If he's unable to play, they could pull his 2-way and return him to Maine then have an open 2-way slot allowing them to use a 10-day ... they'd have to sign Freedom to the 2-day if they want him to replace Rob for the playoffs.

Rob will be having surgery. Could be a few types of surgery opted for here ... lets hope its just a scoping to clean it up and remove any frayed ends. If the tear goes completely thru then stitching will mean he's done for the season.
