an and Bird never won without Parrish and McHale.. Only one has done this In Game 6 of the 1980 NBA Finals, Magic Johnson, then a rookie point guard, started at center in place of an injured Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, compiling a stat line of 42 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers. A point guard subbing in for a center , lol. You just cant convince me that Magic isnt one of the greatest, even though the career was cut short.

In my opinion, Kareem, Lebron, Jordan, Magic HAVE to be in conversation for GOAT. And you can make an argument for others like Wilt, Russell, Kobe, Hakeem...But the first four mentioned HAVE to be in the convo. WTF?!..seriously?...You can argue Jordan, Jordan, Jordan , Bird, Bird, and LeQueen....but obviously Russell wins out...
And Jordan was not great until Bird was hurting...so then you have to argue prime Bird vs prime Jordan...in which case I would have to say that that would have been hecka fun to see...I would put my money on Bird...
I think Pat RIley said something like 'If I had to bet on a game I would go with Jordan, if I had to bet on my life I would go with Bird'...
We both know that all time rankings are subjective. Im just saying on my personal list, which varies : Jordan, Magic, Kareem, LeBron are almost always in my top 10 and near the top. The order changes. Their exact placement on the list changes. As does the other 6 players in my top 10. Hakeem is also always in my top 10, but I loved the player, and so Im biased there. Russell is usually in it, as is Bird and Kobe. So whats that 8? The last 2 spots change a lot depending on my mood, lol. Cuz its so close. You have Oscar Robertson, Duncan, Karl Malone, even Durant can enter the picture for the 9 or 10 spot, even Steph I can see an argument for. KG, Dr J .... Kind of splitting hairs a bit when trying to rank these all time greats.

Right now, based on my mood (my top 10 list changes often), Id prob go: Jordan, Kareem, Magic, Lebron, Bird, Kobe, Hakeem, Russell, Durant, Duncan then honorable mentions to the others in my above post (Oscar Robertson, Malone, KG, Steph, Dr J)
The exact ordering of my top 10 list and maybe subbing out some towards the bottom and replacing with some of the honorable mentions changes frequently.

I think if he hadn't blown out the knee the next year he would be the GOAT. Nobody's had his vision in the open court ever since. Even that year he came back and played PF, I was fascinated with his passing.

I have little or no interest in GOATS or Sheep they are an item across the mountain in WVA i understand.
Just pointed out Magic could do things few if any players could come close to.
What does interest me is what plans little Timmy has for our future Needless to say my hopes are near nil .
He sit around idely and watched Ainge piss away the team with help from our not so bright owner WYC.
My hope is Henry and his group buys out Timmy and the franchise..
