My perfect draft scenario: #3 Hield or J Murray#16 Prince Korkmaz or Valentine #23 Maker, D Davis or D Murray Second round: Maker and Daniel Hamilton or Jaron Blossomgame Bacon Trade Olynyk Sully and/or Zeller for Sabonis < the next Dave Cowens ()Sign Gasol (FA) and Whiteside (FA)Starters Thomas, Bradley, Prince Crowder, Gasol (FA), Whiteside(FA) Bench: HieldJ Murray, Korkmaz or Valentine, Rozier, Smart, Mickey, Sabonis Hunter, Hamilton (D-L), Blossomgame, Maker (D-L), Labissierre Oly, Davis or D Murray A few changes but in the ballpark ... one more has to go ( ) along with refusing the Team Option on Amir or trading him for a future pick) as well as cutting loose or trading Young for a future pick if doable. I'd keep Turner but think the Knicks outbid us.

Well i can't say much. I've been pushing for another PG all year.and Dunn has all the tools Not so that i would take him as high as 3 however. Unless were getting Cousins and sending them a couple guards.
That leaves us picking up a SF with the Dallas pick and sending a couple high ist rounders to the Kings and hoping that Cousins finds his head. That's a little scary. Gasol who i really want seems to be leaning to the Spurs which makes more sense that here. It's a complicated mess that's not likely to be resolved till draft night.
The good we need a lot and will be a much better constructed team next year Ainge im sure despite his praise of the team seen the shortcoming back some time ago. He adjust will he's smart and crafty

We'd have to find a worthy SF at 16 if we don't get the #1 pick ... Korkmaz and Valentine being the two I'd consider but will they be around at 16? If we can't get Gasol then my next optiion for a big would be Whiteside but with the small ball trend that DA/BS are going I don't see Whiteside as a fit.

He looks like a fluid Manute Bol playing against boys ... I have no problem with him at 31 (GS probably takes him at 30 like they did with my guy Looney) but he's not 1st round material unless we keep our 3 picks then maybe #23. I really like Sabonis (could be a Dave Cowens clone) but not really long enough at C.

Maker will be that mystery guy in the draft. If he does well in the workouts, he will be gone early. I noticed a few 6'5"-6'8" SF in this draft some that have been working for the C's already. I hope that out of all the picks we have, we get a gem or two!

He said he expects to work out at least 60 maybe as many as 80. Lots of bodies to workout i had no idea is was that many.

Can't say i disagree Hedley. Ingram isn't as polished as Simmons but i think he has a more upside. I like Korkmaz at 16 if he goes that far or Sabonis who i want even more.. Teaming Korkmaz with Ingram probably pushes out Crowder. who may be our best trade chip anyway. Sadly im in agreement with Admin we'll probably trade away our first pick regardless. Once again i hope im wrong. Too many variables to even get a good understanding at this point.

anywhere to track whom is being worked out? hoopshype used to have the schedule but cant find it. This is all I found ... Wednesday's workout invitees; According to the Celtics, the session will include Dorian Finney-Smith (Florida), Quincy Ford (Northeastern), Marcus Georges-Hunt (Georgia Tech), Sheldon McClellan (Miami, Fla.), Mike Tobey (Virginia) and Jameel Warney (Stony Brook).
Finney-Smith might be the most intriguing prospect of the bunch, a 6-foot-8 forward who shot 36.8 percent from behind the arc as a senior (on 5.4 attempts per game). DraftExpress currently projects Finney-Smith at No. 49 in its mock draft. McClellan, another strong outside shooter, is slotted No. 53 in the same mock draft.
Warney won the America East Player of the Year award in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 20.1 points and 10.7 rebounds per game as a senior, following up a 43-point showing in the conference championship game with a 23-point, 15-rebound performance against Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA tournament. www.masslive.com/celtics/index.ssf/2016/05/2016_nba_draft_workouts_boston.htmlPS: Found these hiding on HoopsRumors; Valparaiso power forward Alec Peters is working out with the Celtics on Friday 5/6 Dayton shooting guard Charles Cooke will work out for the Celtics on Saturday 5/7 Xavier small forward Trevon Bluiett will work out for the Celtics on May 14th

Dont' know I agree we'll trade the pick at 1 or 2.....maybe lower.

He and a few others i agree could push Sully out. I can't see us keeping Sully or Zeller Oly i think might well stay another year and im ok with that. I don't think i would take Davis over Sabonis . I hope yor right about the 1 or 2 I can see lots of picks going to the Kings for Cousins and thats putting all the eggs in one basket. As much i like his play i don't want him holding my eggs. Im still concerned that they might try to do too much too fast. I see two years at best before we contend and i don't think Cousins is a drawing card for other players for that matter.

Dream draft for me starts tonight with a top 2 pick. Simmons or Ingram (I prefer Ingram)
Then Danny makes a trade with his old buddy in Phoenix. Picks 16, 23, 45, 51 and James Young for picks 13, 28 and 34.
With pick #13 the Celtics take whoever is left out of 6 big guys. In order of my preference: Deyonta Davis, Skal Labisierre, Thon Maker, Jacob Poeltl Marquiss Chriss and Henry Ellenson.
At 28 they go big again with one of 4 guys likely still available (again listed in my preference): Ante Zizic, Cheick Diallo, Stephen Zimmerman and Damian Jones.
At 31, go big again with Zhou Qui, who is 1-2 years from arriving in the states but that is the prefect spot to select him and negotiate a contract.
At 34 and 35 I'd like to see versatile players who are good at a lot but great at nothing (hence why they are 2nd rd picks) who should develop into very solid role players for a playoff team. One guard/wing and one wing who can be a 4 in a small lineup. Players like McCaw, Bembry, Bentil, Daniel Hamilton, Brogdon, Payton II, Blossomgame, Anthony Barber, Jarrod Uthoff and Nigel Hayes.
Or package one of those two picks with pick 58 and Minnesota's 2nd rounder next year to get into the 26-30 range again and take one player Danny really likes. I think Bentil and Bembry would be two such guys.

How does your perfect scenario not involve us getting the #1 or at worst #2 overall pick?
