How about this prediction by yours truly?
Celtics with a rope-a-dope to cut the lead to 5 ... Now we will run the Nuggets off the court to win it!

Celtics keep flashing mental toughness, this time over the Nuggets in Boston’s best win of the season
(AP Photo/David Zalubowski) By Souichi Terada | sterada@masslive.com
There’s a different vibe to these Celtics right now. No more are there close comebacks, where the C’s are so close to victory but fall short. The trend was becoming evident, and while there are some takeaways in coming back at all, the losses all count the same.
Now Boston is completing those ferocious bids — and it played perhaps its best game of the campaign. The Celtics erased a 14-point third quarter deficit, overwhelming the Nuggets in a 105-87 win Sunday at the Pepsi Center. A 31-3 run was the difference, a stretch that lasted 9:36 where the Celtics did whatever they wanted.
“All the good teams that I’ve been around can come back and win,” Celtics coach Brad Stevens said. “So you come back in each of the last three games and win, down in the fourth quarter in all the games, that’s encouraging. But we’ll just keep trying to get better.”
The Celtics are on a three-game winning streak, trending up in the right direction with the playoffs looming. It’s the mental toughness that has been so impressive, refusing to flounder when the C’s hit any stretch of adversity. Just a few weeks ago, an improbable make from an opponent would take minutes to recover; now it seemingly doesn’t faze the C’s.
Arguably the most surprising part of Sunday’s win was how quickly it came about. There were stretches where the Celtics looked like they were going to piece together a run, staying close just enough for the Nuggets to feel uncomfortable. But at that point, Boston was unable to snag the lead.
That all changed at the end of the third quarter. The Nuggets went up 14 points with 2:17 remaining in the third, looking like the better team. The Celtics then exploded once Nikola Jokic went to the bench. A 10-point Nuggets lead transformed into a three-point Celtics advantage. Jokic wasn’t enough once he checked back in, complaining to the refs in his stint and sitting for the final 4:41.
“Since I’ve been on the Celtics, especially even this year, we always give ourselves a chance,” Jayson Tatum said. “We kind of turned it up even more in that third quarter. I feel like sometimes we have to rely on the fourth quarter, whether we’re down 15 or whatever, and then you damn near gotta be perfect at the end and it doesn’t always go our way.”
Grant Williams said the run started courtesy of the Celtics defense. They grappled to earn transition opportunities, Williams said, but once they were able to get some deflections and run-outs, that offered easier buckets.
Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown combined for a flurry of layups at the end of the third, cutting it to just a five-point deficit.
“Next thing you know, we got three or four and-ones in transition, a lot of them layups, and we were back into the game,” Williams said. “Then it was just a matter of keeping the defensive intensity up, which then allowed for more easy shots for either Jayson or Kemba, Jaylen, Smart whenever they were in.”
This positive stretch dates back a handful of games as Boston has won five of its last six games. The C’s are 28-26, keeping pace with the rest of their Eastern Conference foes. It’s at the point where they appear to have turned the proverbial corner, finally earning contributions from every corner of their roster.
Now it’s about keeping that up. Stevens said the recent wins are great, but it won’t have any carry-over to their next two West Coast games. The C’s travel to play the Trail Blazers and Lakers, both of whom are jostling for playoff position.
“That game won’t have anything to do with what we’ve done in the past, we have to prepare to play it well,” Stevens said of the Portland game. “But this trip is a chance to compete against good teams on a tough stretch and hopefully we can respond like we did tonight.”

Maybe part of getting rid of theis was placating and making room for TT/Timelord. A strategy which failed miserably before TT return
