Robert Williams was taken 27th in 2018 and there may be only one player taken between him and Trae Young at pick #5 that is better. (Michael Porter Jr pick #14)
Wagner was taken at 25 but I'm not sure he's better than Robert Williams.
Nice job Danny Ainge!

Wow hedley. Brad had no choice. Thats why he played them. It was not by design. Two games in which tacko plays and good things happen. Makes Brad a stubborn asshole actually. Not a good coach. Bet you these few games were an eye opener for him in the sense that just like many of us here said, Tacko like many other players can contribute. Unlike you who said that they were not ready.

LOL - Tacko played 8 minutes against MIL and 6 last night. Weren't you calling for 15? Wagner and Kornet are better than Tacko

Brad is a jackass. Challenging his players to shoot more threes as Jaylen Brown revealed?! Despicable!!

What analytics don't tell you is the value of going on a run by making a string of baskets and getting to the free-throw line which is only possible by shooting in the paint or the mid-range as opposed to bombing threes that at best you can make half of them.
If you're making half of your shots how can you go on a run?

As a matter of fact tacko entered first by needs. Soon after scal said he was happy to see Tacko play outside garbage time. It serves him and any other well. Either way all the players played cuz brad had no choice. If theis was still here, he would still be a starter on brad eyes.

We've been getting a better whistle without Theis. Lol.
Not much better.

That foul call on the Luke block was a travesty.
Like Mike said how can so many people involved still get it wrong?
Incredible.
This is the problem with NBA officiating.
Micromanaging at its finest.
Incompetence or dishonesty at its finest.

That's why I say that when an officials work gets reviewed at the end of the game they should get hammered for not correcting wrong calls.

Missing calls is expected but not correcting wrong calls in the face of video evidence is stubbornness and pride.

Mo Swag and The Green Kornet both bring things this team needs! Energy and outside shooting!! I've liked what I've seen so far! My question is, who is gonna slow Zion down monday?? This will not be an easy game to win!9

Did y'all see Horford in street clothes on the bench? The NBAPA needs to do something with teams deciding a player isn't in their plans so they will just bench him for the final 28 games of the season.
So OKC could not find a trade partner AND Horford has TWO MORE YEARS on his contract, so what makes OKC think they'll find a trade partner in the offseason.
There is no way, if I'm Horford, I involuntarily have my season ended with 28 games left, AND sit on the bench and practice with the team. I'm going to the NBAPA and demanding OKC either trade me or buy me out so I can go elsewhere. He apparently AGREED to this one-sided deal.
No team in their right mind is going to trade for Horford in the offseason, UNLESS YOU'RE THE CELTICS.
I could see the Celtics trading Kemba for Horford and getting from under Kemba's final two years to take the "less horrible" Horford's final two years.

Horford didn't play?
Oh well i'm sure OKC isn't tanking..
Another win over a western powerhouse..
Looks like we'll be pushing the Nets and 76ers for that top seed soon..
Picking up our 4th superstar in Evan Fournier seals it.. Theis was worthless glad he's gone..

OKC was a G League team last night. They had a 13 year old - looking starting PF. You should have seen this guy.
These were kids. They have a center though who had 18 points and 19 rebounds IN THE FIRST HALF.
OKC and Horford agreed that he would sit out the rest of the season but he'd stay with the team to help develop the young bigs.
Horford has two MORE years on his contract.
Fournier might not play until mid-April.

The duo of Stevens and Ainge will one day make us forget about Red..

Brad finally got the message sent here and by tons of fans ... maybe Danny got in his ear too ... for once he made the starters accountable early and sent a strong message and got a positive response other than the usual indifference of the past.
Celtics turn early deficit and benching into 111-94 blowout over Thunder
Brad Stevens benched his starters late in the first quarter and got immediate responses from Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum in a blowout that wasn’t for three quarters. By Bobby Manning
Al Horford and the Thunder announced an agreement to sit him for the rest of the season, the evolution of the temporary seats Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond took in Brooklyn and Detroit respectively. The Oklahoma City organization said it wanted to prioritize youth minutes and utilize Horford as a mentor, thwarting an anticipated starting matchup between him and his former teammate Robert Williams III as Williams realizes the potential Horford helped grow when he was a rookie.
The Celtics did not expect to go as young tonight, even with Evan Fournier entering COVID-19 protocol and Daniel Theis making his debut with the Bulls tonight. Yet with four minutes showing on the first quarter clock, Tacko Fall, Carsen Edwards and Aaron Nesmith spilled into the game. Boston’s starters had missed eight straight shots and went down 8-0, then 18-8 against an assertive Luguentz Dort and Moses Brown — the Horford protege.
Brown poured 17 points and 19 rebounds over Boston’s front line in the first half. An early three-point play on a put back sparked that run while Tatum got his first shot jammed by the rim and Williams III needed to retreat into a fadeaway miss on one of his first post touches. Brown missed 6-of-7 before Nesmith entered the game for him.
Payton Pritchard and Edwards rejuvenated the offense during Brad Stevens’ statement dump with driving and kicking action. Pritchard hit a pull-up in the lane before cutting and catching a pass from Smart for a finish inside. Edwards hit two jumper on passes from each of the lead guards to pull back from down eight to within four. The short rest and a dose of embarrassment spurred a second half explosion from the Celtics, winning 111-94 with 52 points on 20-of-50 shooting from Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Luke Kornet scored eight points in 13 minutes to spin the close game into a runaway midway through the fourth in his Celtics debut.
Boston’s offense continued to stall early while its interior folded for much of first half after that early jolt. Moritz Wagner had twice attempted to take charges instead of defending straight up as Brown breezed through him to the basket for free throws and a bucket.
Wagner and Fall sat in the second half leading Steves to try Luke Kornet for the first time after Tatum tied the game at 82 with five straight shots into the fourth. Brown committed a three second violation and missed a layup, while Smart and Tatum danced around Kornet’s screens and tossed the ball to him for back-to-back threes that blew the game open to surpass Brown’s second half scoring total in 36 seconds.
Smart hit a layup and Tatum ran out for a three that sealed the game, boosting Boston ahead by 11 while the Thunder missed six straight shots. The Celtics led by as many as 16 in the closing minutes, gaining the benefit of Dort leaving the game with concussion symptoms just after halftime and Pokusevski tweaking his knee five minutes later before returning after Kornet’s explosion.
Kornet flushed a put back dunk, before handing the baton back to Tacko into the seven-game home stand.

This was posted 19 hours ago. I said the same thing after Robs first start. What DA doesnt have the balls to tell Brad what todo let alone fire him. He prefers to send subliminal messages.
