And I 100% believe that Marcus Smart is a better player than Duncan Robinson. Duncan Robinson does one thing and is a defensive liability. The one thing Robinson does, is what the Celtics need most! Plus he would make Tatum, Brown And Kemba's life easier, because you can't double off him and help out! It's on Ainge for not getting someone like him!

My comment, of course, started this. So, it's time for me to chime in. MIA - Bam, Dragic, Butler, Crowder, Robinson, Herro, Iggy, KO, BOS - Tatum, Kemba, Brown, Smart. Theis, Semi, Wanamaker, Kanter, GWill. Right now, today, their stars are better than our stars, their rookie is better than our rookies, their bench is better than our bench, and they play as one team. They have MORE better players than we do, today, I stand by my comment. Even when (if) GH returns, they have RELIABLE people on their bench - Herro, Iggy, KO..........and we don't. It's not about individual players, or potential, it's about right now they are better than us. I wish I could put TWO THUMBS UP on this. You forgot one thing, their coach is better than our coach. And their President/GM is better than ours.

We're all disappointed, but I think some of you are getting a little ahead of our current position. We had sizable leads in both of the first 2 games. I estimate we are 55% likely to win game 3. So slightly better than a coin flip.
ANd if that happens, and we're down 2-1 - I would say, the series at that point is close to a coin flip.
All we have to do is win 2 coin flips.
I estimate our odds of advancing are currently 30%. Things that have a 30% of happening happen all the time (my own little Yogiism)

I do call him out when I think he blows it, and I have done so numerous times in the playoffs. Danny? Hell no. When he makes trades, he gets criticized, and when he makes GREAT draft picks he gets criticized. We had ZERO big name FA's sign here until Horford. Since then, we've had Hayward and Kemba. He's make great draft picks, especially Tatum over Fultz and Ball. MIA has drafted Bam and Herro, that's it. I think Danny has done a great job

Fierce, if the Celtics had the ability to generate offense against a zone defense, they would have solved that by now. What will happen in the next day or two that will allow them to solve that zone? But, I sure hope you're right because we sure need something to kick start a win. Bottom line, we gotta win tomorrow, just like Toronto beat us in game 3 after being down 2-0. I simply believe we're just about done because of HOW we've lost the first two games. Also, Spoelstra hasn't lost a series after being up 2-0, EVER.
I heard that the Heat are 16-1 when ahead 2-0 and the C's are 2-16 when down 0-2

Boston has a shabby record when they go down 0-2 in a playoff series. In their historic postseason run, the Celtics only display a 2-15 record when they are down trailing 0-2 in a series.19 hours ago The Miami Heat are currently in their 20th NBA postseason appearance. Over these years, they've maintained a perfect winning record, whenever they're up 2-0 in a series. In fact, the Heat are 16-0 when they manage to register two straight victories against their opponents.18 hours ago

Did you purposely avoid Coach?
The Heat are all business ... little or no family in the bubble ... all business ... dependent upon each other to survive the bubble thus a camaraderie that we are lacking (fighting over shot selection).
Not only has our coach failed to beat the zone, he's also failed to teach the zone. When the C's employed the zone against the Heat last night, Theis was left to his own devices as JT had little interest in playing defense. After Bam took advantage, Brad was forced to switch back to M2M.
Lots of talk here about JT only concerned about offense and disinterested in playing defense. That and the fact that Smart is a trouble maker despite his heart and defensive prowess. He regularly takes inappropriately timed threes. That was the cause of the infighting and as the senior vet on this team his leadership skills took a back seat to Brown who's taken that role before (with Irving & Morris) this time as peace maker which didn't go over well with Marcus (thrown chair). It s/b noted that Smart had words/scuffle with assistant coaches as well so he's the lightning bolt. It's been said that Brad seemed out of breath at his presser and may have gotten physically involved. Smart would not talk with the press post game but Brown did:
“I think everything is understood,” he [Brown] said. “We’re going to have a meeting tomorrow regardless just to watch the film and go over the game plan with coach, but at the end of the day, emotions are going to fly. Obviously we wanted to win this game and we didn’t, but this series is far from over and we’ve got to get ready for Game 3. That’s how it goes. In families there’s ups and downs, there’s fights and emotions, but that’s exactly what we are: A family. We’re going to hold each other accountable, and we’ve got to do what it takes to come out and execute next game.”
“I think it’s a beauty to it. A lot of people are passionate and emotional, and I’m one of those people,” he said. “I recognize it as that. I recognize it as emotion and passion and I don’t recognize it as nothing else the media might see it or whatever. That’s all it is. It’s passion that’s being expressed. We’ve got to express that same passion for 48 minutes. Period.”

Fleecing Philly was DA's best feat as of late. He was once a "dealer" but has become reluctant making moves that would make the Celtics better, even slighly better. Coach BS is a very good coach but Spoelstra is probably the best, most underrated coach in the NBA. All is does is win and a lot of times, without the most talent. BS is a solid coach but he sticks to his plan and he is not flexible to make changes.

I think SPO is a great coach. And he has done a fabulous job this year. LeBron, Wade and Bosh.............that's like saying Doc is a great coach because he had PP, Ray and KG. Right now, he is better than Brad, yes, but Brad is not part of our problem, IMO. It's the bench, the inexperience and the inconsistencies. IF, and I know it's a big if........but IF we had been able to keep Morris, we might be much better off. That is the kind of player we need. Let's not forget we lost Kyrie, Morris, Baynes, Rozier and Horford from last year, and only added Kemba. And we went further this year...........I'd say that's good coaching. But Spo has a unified group that accepted this challenge as a business trip. His players are executing offenses and defenses while our team is fighting with each other and can't beat or execute an effective zone.
Brad's easy going temperament has infected his team ... they have become indifferent just as he has when players don't do as told or officials screw him with a bad call. Brad takes it ... he gets complimented for being in control and not losing his temper but there's a time & place that calls for exactly that to get someone's attention ... player or ref.

Right now, in this series, Spo has proven to be the better coach. Overall, I'd take Brad any day. And, if we win, then Spo won't even be in the conversation. I'm not blaming Danny. Horford, Kyrie and Morris left on their own. The only one of those three I miss is Morris. Baynes we traded. But Time Lord wouldn't be playing at all if we had him, so that may be a blessing in disguise. He also traded Rozier for Kemba (technically), after Kemba decided to come here as a FA. THAT is an upgrade at PG. He did not upgrade the bench this year, and he is responsible for that. I'll also be all over his case if we add three more rookies to this roster next year. He HAS to make a trade. But, we have made it further this year on, arguably, less talent. I'll take my coach and GM combo over any other in the league right now.
