I see the nets have hired Steve Nash as their head coach, and I aready have the feeing it's not gonna work! I have a theory that great NBA players dont make for as good as coaches as average NBA players - generally speaking, of course there are exceptions. But here's my logic: if you are just super talented, its all natural to you. Its not something you can necessarily teach. Now compare that to a player who was not gifted athletically, wasnt a lights out shooter, but managed to hang around in the league for years - why? Because they did the little things right. They can teach those little things. So like Grant Williams might make a good coach someday cuz he's in the league cuz he does those little things which are teachable. Imagine Giannis trying to coach - "just be longer than everyone. It worked for me." Just a theory and I want to stress its a general thing, there are many exceptions.

I read a book on Mickey Mantle and him and Ted Williams was having a conversation, someone walked up and told Mantle he would make a great hitting coach. Williams said the guy was crazy, you can't teach what Mantle has, that would be like a Genius trying to make the average guy as smart as he isl!!

Its hard to predict that one based on just the fact that is Steve Nash, a guy who has not coached before. However, I must say Nash is a nice dude. He can develop good chemistry. The only two probably impeding that are KD and KI. So. If it doesnt work chances are is because those two dont want it to work. If Kyrie embraces Nash approach of passing the ball (which he has never done so) it might actually work.
