Getting ready for a tough game tomorrow. Taking care of my body today. Disciplined eating, good bit of rest. People are not giving us a chance but we shall see. With admin injured, need crucial production from the good doctor and Chris. The role players have to do their job too. This will be a very important game to pull out. I'm not playing tomorrow Brad ] oh i love that name gets woodie purkey. said he was playing you Dubby and i could pick pine needles out my Anish. Don't have a clue about rest or disciplined eating unless the girls request it. Rest up and eat well for a game your not playing in? Serious mental issues. Se Dr B here he works wonders with small minds. Just smoked a fat joint of Honey OG Kush. Wolfdown a whole pizza next door, Six Dunker Modelo beer, Woking with my friend restoring a 71 VW Bus deep in the heart of the Vucatan . The girls show up in 30 minutes. Rolling another joint and buying more beer as we speak I'm 65 still kick ya ass on one on one 1000 to 1 What do you have to lose but your foolish pride? Game here at the Boston Sports Bar and ill be there early sucking down a few Bloody Marys dang, and I thought I had issues...

I think Philly did the best at the deadline. Tobias Harris was a monster get.

And Simmons improved a ton since last year. So with his improvement + Harris, they are more dangerous than they were last year. But like usual, Embiid cant stay healthy.

Premature comments for sure but I still wish to make them. We contained the Greek Freak well in game 1 and I wonder what adjustments they will try to make. I say to continue to contain him, fouling him too is OK, and hope as they will have perimeter shooters free, they are not accurate. But, if we win, and containing him is a major factor, do you feel that should we face Philly, we should use the same tactic on Embiid ? I'd rather face Philly...Leonard with Toronto is rather unstoppable !

Philly is a much more fitting opponent for us - I'd rather face them than Toronto. We also have Baynes, who's Embiid's daddy, mind you.
But first beat them Bucks. As I've said earlier, we HAVE TO take the 2nd game as well. Do NOT leave your foot of the gas pedal, beat them while they're unconscious. Remember that Raptors and Philly had lost their first games at home also, only to sweep the next 4 games.
And every win counts the same - no matter whether you demolished the opponent by 22 points or barely won at OT.

Give him a bit of room (to bait him to shoot), if he tries to drive, step in front of him and take the charge.

And make sure youre making him move when he's on D, so he cant save all his energy for offense. He has to cover a lot of ground on D because Lopez is so immobile, so use this to your advantage and tire him out.

Lopez was very much subtraction by addition for that team. Hes an awful fit.

I think Philly did the best at the deadline. Tobias Harris was a monster get. Yea plus Monroe gets 10pts and about 5 boards to rest Embiid. Someone what to tell me Phlia is stupid and Boston is smarter. ? I'm loaded today hit me with your best shot. Monroe could have rested Horford Baynes is still hurt. Hate this song but...............

Rebounding: Boston Celtics ramp up rebounding and return to the top as NBA’s best defense By John Karalis
(Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images)MILWAUKEE -- The Boston Celtics are getting a lot of attention for the job they did on Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and for good reason. They played as connected defensively as they did all season, maybe more so, and forced the potential NBA MVP into tough shots and turnovers. The also forced him to give the ball up, and the Milwaukee Bucks couldn’t capitalize on some of the open looks they got. Those are all great things, but there is one more element to these defensive stops that Boston has improved on in the postseason. They are finishing defensive possessions by securing the defensive rebound. Rebounding is the final ingredient for an elite defense. Teams can force all the misses in the world, but a stop isn’t a stop until the ball is securely in a defender’s hands and play moves the other way. The Celtics have opened the playoffs with a 94.4 defensive rating over five games. While some of that is certainly bolstered by opening against an anemic Indiana Pacers team, the Celtics have been locked in defensively and playing some of their most connected defensive basketball of the season. One of the wildcards in the Pacers series was Indiana’s ability to get second chance points. Boston took Domantas Sabonis out of the equation, knocking his team-leading offensive rebounding percentage from 11.5 to 7.3. The work on the boards was an unheralded element to that sweep, and it was crucial to defending the Bucks in Game 1. The Celtics set season-highs in defensive rebounds, 48, twice in the postseason. Once against Indiana, and against Milwaukee. “We were good rebounding in the Indiana series,” Brad Stevens said. “That was a huge key in that series and a huge key for our team, especially if we are going to play small and our biggest guy is out guarding their point forward.” With Al Horford out on the perimeter for many defensive possessions, the job of boxing out and rebounding can fall on the guards, Kyrie Irving included. Here he sees George Hill crashing the offensive glass and gets a body on him, snagging the rebound and securing the stop. No regular rotation Celtic had a defensive rebounding percentage above 20 during the regular season, but three, Al Horford, Marcus Morris, and Terry Rozier, have topped that so far in the playoffs. “Everybody has to do their job on every shot,” Brad Stevens said before the team’s practice on Monday. “Sometimes, that means you block out and you don’t get it, and that’s one of the most selfless plays in basketball since you have to absorb all that contact, you have to make hard contract, and you’re not getting the ball and no one ever talks about it." Here’s a great example of that. Horford and Jayson Tatum both get bodies on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Mirotic, leaving Rozier all alone to clean up the miss. media.giphy.com/media/Qxkozf3COqf1Bn6Pzj/giphy-downsized-large.gifIt’s a selfless act, but sometimes the basketball Gods reward the effort. In this play, Rozier gets a body on Ersan Ilyasova, flies out to try to guard Antetokounmpo, and then walks right into a defensive rebound. media.giphy.com/media/H4nZ4Mgp13QpE3uCbU/giphy-downsized-large.gif“That’s one of the things that good teams do,” Stevens said. "That’s why when we are at our best, our guards are chasing down rebounds since someone else is doing the dirty work. Sometimes, our guards have to do it and other guys get to chase them down.” This play is a great example of that. media.giphy.com/media/cLHvJXDdZhjdyK6MAv/giphy-downsized-large.gifRozier does an excellent job of keeping Ilyasova off the glass. Rozier gave up a lot of size but he got low and had a textbook box-out so Morris could grab the board. There’s nothing in the box score that will show what Rozer did there, but he was actually the most important player in that defensive possession because he prevented the offensive rebound. Boxing out is both simple and difficult. Absorbing the contact over and over again is the basketball version of offensive and defensive linemen smashing into to each other over and over again. It’s taxing. It’s exhausting. It’s hard to do properly, and there is absolutely zero glory in it. But the Celtics are doing it well in the playoffs, and every once in a while, they give the rebounding aficionados a little gift when everyone on the court is willing to do the dirty work at the same time. media.giphy.com/media/dyMNt8kuk7KBYFtnig/giphy-downsized-large.gifDefense wins championships, and in basketball, rebounding completes the defense. Boston’s rebounding so far has been a key reason for their elite defensive rating. If they can keep it up, it’s going to be very difficult to score on these Celtics.
